Devilbiss Air
The Devilbiss snake is well thought out the length and size and the decadent in it Does exactly what it’s supposed to. For those of us who don’t have the permanent large standing professional permanent mounted this is a plus. Yes I also do use the other air attachments on the tool even though the compressor I use does Not use Oil I Do Place it in the tool such as a sander a few drops so I am careful about release. But I do my best to keep my sit dry and as clean a possible. And Devilbiss does a great job.

Works but if you have a water issue in your air compressor you're buying a very expensive temporary fix. I imagine it would help a lot in a professional setting.

The Devilbiss desiccant snake #13052 uses desiccant media to remove ...
The Devilbiss desiccant snake #13052 uses desiccant media to remove the moisture from the air. You should use a regulator after the snake as the more compressed the air the more efficient the desiccant is to moisture removal. The snake is rated up to 200 PSI. The only way to know that it is not saturated and worn out is to install the humidity indicator on the downstream exit fitting on the snake. The humidity indicator RH101 #13053 uses activated alumina that is blue in color but will change pink when moisture becomes present indicating the desiccant sock is saturated. Keep the indicator though as when moisture is driven out of the beads with a new snake, it will turn back blue until moisture is indicated again.

Blind Faith!
How do you tell if it's working? Buy a RH101 at $40 and place it on the discharge end? That way you can check if the snake is doing its job. Other than that I guess you wait until you get water dripping out of your paint gun...? Not sure how they expect you to tell and they don't mention it here on Amazon or on the DeVilbiss site.

Air Filter
I don't paint with compressed air often, so when I painted my car, I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a filter, and the little filters that come with the air guns don't do a good enough job. Although it is a little more than I wanted to spend, it was a lot cheaper than a permanent system and did an excellent job at removing all the moisture even in august when its so humid. It lasted long enough to pain my entire car and probably still has some life left. Definitely saved my pain job from moisture.

Not good for painting...
Tried 2 of these while trying to paint a car. Works for about 1 coat then plugs up and lose almost all air volume. Drops pressure on hplv to 20 psi maybe a little less, no matter how much i regulate the compressor at. Also fine desicant dust gets through into the gun aswell.
