Cystal Clear Ice Skull Maker

1st attempt - I'm using filtered water from a 5gal cooler. The water I used on my first attempt was cold to near freezing out of the spout. After 12 hours the 60% of the outside shell of the form was frozen and crystal clear but not complete.2nd attempt- using above room temperature filtered water, but not hot. Found out that it is possible for bubbles to be trapped in the chin area. Rock back and fourth to remove the bubbles before putting in the freezer.After many attempts... Using cold water works fine. Rock back and fourth to remove possible air bubbles from chin area before putting in the freezer. Skulls should be ready in 24 using cold water. Remove large ice block at the bottom before making a new set of skulls. The rubber mold seems to fit and seal better with the bottom ice block removed. Skulls have a fine powdery finish when removed but are crystal clear.

Easy installation, perfect size

It works and looks nice. Be sure to listen to the few instructions this does have. Clean up is easy too. I wash by hand. Heat and rubber don’t always go together very well. Very similar to cold as well. You can damage this if it’s too cold for too long. I have a rose ice mold too that isn’t clear ice. I use food coloring in that and looks really nice.

This mold created a perfectly clear ice skull just as advertised. I love it. My only issue is that that face is a bit flat, but that is hardly an issue. It is what it is. The important thing is getting crystal clear ice for my drink.

Takes some wiggling to get the silicone mold out and around 48 hours for our freezer to frreze solid.Skulls are crystal clear - about the size of a golfball.To remove ice from bottom just stick in sink and run water over it.Ice must be removed before refilling to get clear skulls.Wife stores skulls in Tupperware container in freezer till we have enough.

Easy to remove from molds. Clear ice skulls...looks pretty cool in darker drinks.

The product is good quality and a good price. My only complaint is that the skulls in the one that i got do not look like the ones in the add.

One of the best clear ice molds. If you want super simple and easy to load and remove this is the right one.
