Q: why can't I choose my shipping priority?

Duracoat is a hazmat product and is required by the DOT to be transported via a ground hazmat carrier. We use UPS Hazmat. There ia no choice available due to this restriction.

Q: its cold here, about 40 degrees. if everything is room temp inside my house, can i go outside and spray immediately? before everything gets cold?

I assume you can mix the contents at room temperature and spray outside quickly.... but where is that painted item going to dry/cure? Those fumes are following that item back in the house or to another warm place to cure. The epoxy base will need warmth to cure properly. If the base metal stays outside and cools rapidly, that will likely affect long term durabilty or even proper curing. I'd look for a warm spot with adequate ventilation (my heated garage workshop is my go-to). Good luck!

Q: Do i need to use a etching primer for aluminum?

I'd have to say no. I duracoated aluminum parts and did not need etching primer and it worked fine. Duracoat makes no mention of using any primer in their instructions. Just be sure to absolutely remove any oils from item.
