Wider cup
I got my Yamaha Flugel horn a few months ago. It came with a Yamaha 11F4 mouthpiece which was OK. It's good to experiment so I bought a Denis Wick, which has a nice mello tone, more suited to classical music. I also got a Bobby Shew, but didn't notice much difference to the 11F4. Finally I got the Yamaha 17F4, and I'm sticking with that. The wider cup fits better on my lips, and I find I can shape the sound more easily. I'm glad I bought it.
