NOT cast iron
Attractive, heavy, but sadly NOT cast iron. Black paint is already flaking off to show brass colored metal beneath. Given that, it is over-priced.

Beautiful accent piece very happy
I am putting this product on a storage trunk that I bought, it’s beautifully made, heavy duty Cast iron latch, it’s not that lightweight tin.
