We bought this when we quit eating sugar, then we just kind of stopped needing sweetener other than an occasional bit of pure maple syrup or honey. That being said - I started using the Xylitol mixed in with baking soda to make our own tooth cleaner. Husband's mix is 3/4 baking soda 1/4 Xylitol and mine is 1/2 and 1/2. We've been using this for about 3 years and get stellar checkups at the dentist.

It does not have an after taste on coffee like other sugar substitutes.

Xylitol is a natural alcohol sugar. Your body doesn't get the insulin reaction like it does when you consume sugar, but it tastes sweet. Further, it retards tooth decay. I use it for creating my own homemade mouthwash.

We use Xylitol almost exclusively. This was a great deal!
