Learning Resources Primary Science Learning Lab Set, 12 Pieces, Ages 4+

My 4.5 son LOVES this. He is beyond excited to be a little scientist! As soon as I saw this I knew I had to order it for him. I was impressed with the quality of the toy, the pieces are easy for toddlers to hold easily (including his 3yr old sister IF/WHEN he shares, lol). Our safety googles look different, they are like the ones for wood working that go on like sunglasses. The experiment cards are great and easy to use, but they do require additional ingredients, most you will have in your kitchen like food coloring, oil, lemon juice etc. a few like celery and raisins you may not.My only complaint is the test tube lids don't seal well and they tell you to shake stuff in them so they leak a little.In response to the tweezers, they are big and don't fit into the test tubes. BUT I looked over the cards and none of them actually tell you to use them to remove stuff from the tubes, they all say to use to the place/drop/transfer stuff to the tubes. I do wish the beaker was used on the cards but I will just make up some more!Honestly I love it, it is a GREAT learning tool. I am going to recommend them to my kids preschool teacher and probably order another so my 4.5 year old and 3 year old can do more together. I highly recommend it!

I have purchased this set several times over the past 6 years. My daughter loves it! She has played with this set from about 18 months to current (almost 7 years.) The safety glasses fit kind of awkwardly, but other than that the set is great. We have used it in so many ways from baking soda and vinegar, to water and mud. I will say that it does not hold up very well outside but that is not it's intended purpose. This set would make a great birthday gift!

Oh the fun my kids have when we do science experiments! Large enough for toddlers and little kids to help with, fun stem learning toy! This has held up well for my 3 and 5 year old to use. Packaging is a little blah (plain brown box) if going for a gift. Would buy again though. I just wish it provided more science experiments to do. The good news though is you can buy at home science experiment books that you can use this kit with, or you can search the internet for kids at home science experiments and get a wonderful directions. This is what we have been doing for almost a year.

So cute!! My preschooler loves “cooking” and mixing up colored water soup. This is perfect- the tube holders reduce frustration and the screw on lids make the set seem grown up and official. She loves her “looking glass” and uses it to look at bugs every time she finds them. Everything’s thrown in a box so she wasn’t impressed when she opened it, but it’s colorful, sturdy, and her favorite birthday gift (besides her bike)!

it is a great scientific kit and my kids love it, from product's review, yes, 5 stars.However, I just want to warn parents to be a little bit cautious when your kids is doing this, make sure they do it in a way which will not make a big mess. my son tried the "volcano" reaction, I knew he was playing that, I just watched my TV and didn't pay much attention to that, then...I heard the scream... oh my god, it did erupt like a volcano, my whole family room was kind of ruined with the brown apple vinegar stains...all of it, everywhere, you can clean the floor, you can wipe off from furniture's...but think about repainting the room...especially it is a high ceiling one, I need to hire professional to repaint the high ceiling room

The components of this set are very clear & sturdy, with all rounded edges. Good size for young ones, but still large enough for adults to play along. There are a lot of pieces in this kit, for the price. The included experiment cards are well presented and very useful. The only reason I cant give 5 stars is it does not include any kind of storage - bag or box, which is a nuisance, since there are so many pieces you want to keep together. Had to use one of my tote bags..

My son is going on 4 and this little Lab was a wonderful gift for him this past holiday season. He donned the goggles and wouldn't stop making volcanoes for at least an hour. The pieces are perfectly proportioned for his hands, easy to manipulate, and fun to use. The experiments that go along with it are easy to set up and easy to complete, which is ideal for a little learner. He's getting his hands on science and he barely knows it because it's all play! I would recommend this for early learners, home-schoolers, or mad scientists alike.
