Great idea, poor design. Too small to hold most store bought patties. It's between a slider and a regular burger size. Also the part that holds the burgers is solid heavy metal but the shaft that holds it is light weight and bends under the weight at the end. It's only a matter of time until it bends beyond use or breaks completely. Luckily it wasn't a huge investment.

One of the hinges broke the first time I used it. I have had good luck with some of the other irons made by the same company. I don't know if the double size compared to the other ones put more stress on the hinge or what. One use. Broken hinge. In the trash.

Works great!

I used this to roast two whole bell peppers cut in half and seeded. First I poured boiling water over the iron to melt the wax, otherwise did not season it and jammed the peppers in and put them on the grill. All things considered They blackened nicely and did not stick much. Then, I let it cool and washed it and seasoned it correctly rubbing it with oil at three 20 minute increments and allowed it to remain over the hot grill. I could see a lot of good uses for this iron.

haven't used it-it was a gift, but the recipient was happy!
