HanleyDepot Bathtub Overflow Drain Cover, Adds Inches of Water to Your Bath Tub

Based on where this was coming from, and the numerous bad reviews, I had little to no hope that this would actually work. But after visiting Lowe's, Home Depot, and many online stores, I couldn't find any other option. Hundreds of online stores sell this same exact model, so choosing this store was just luck of the draw. But there doesnt seem to be any other choice for this type of thing, so after leaving it sitting in the cart for months, I finally just purchased. I also didn't think it work, because my bathtub's drain is sort of set into the tub, and I couldn't seal the suction cups all the way around the circle. I could only suction the bottom and side ones, to the 10 and 2 position.But it actually works. Even as I was putting it on, I was like, oh yeah- this was definitely a waste of money. But the little suction cups stayed suctioned, and the whole thing suctioned and kept the water from gurgling out. I recommend it, but i wouldn't say the other reviews are all wrong. Bathtubs can be made of different materials and finishes, so it may not suction to all of them? I dont know, I'm just happy I can finally takes baths and enjoy them.

I was really excited about this little gadget, but it didn't fit even remotely over the older tub stopper as the lever was too larger to allow the device to securely suction to the wall of the tub. I think if you put this on a modern tub, it might work a bit better - as ours is pre-1980's. There are several little suction cups, but if you have any texture or lime deposit build up on the wall of your tub, you might have trouble with the device staying put as well. While it didn't work for me, it might work just fine for other people.

I’ve gotten an overflow drain cover like this before from another company. It was great. If it got misshaped, I’d run it under hot water and put it back to the right shape. This one, however, arrived so ripples and misshaped that all the hot water and attempting to reshape it has been pointless. It still lets water drain out of the bottom. Garbage.

My tub is rounded above the overflow drain, so not all of the suction cups will stick, but it still hangs on pretty well. It sometimes comes partially unstuck, but as long as I check it before each use it stays. Only 4 stars because it does leak a small amount and there are little nubs over each suction cup that are uncomfortable on your fingers every time you press them.

All you want to know is that it actually works to cover the overflow drain.

Such a poor quality - doesn’t work at all. Came in a plastic bag so was dis-formed during shipping and could not bring it back to its original shape.
