ESV Fire Bible (Flexisoft, Slate/Charcoal, Red Letter): English Standard Version Imitation Leather – June 1, 2014

Bible came in good condition with larger than expected font, is much clearer than my old MEV Fire Bible Was.I've used Fire Bibles now for 9 years- 6 of which I've been actively teaching with it. Always enjoy its thoroughness as a good study tool.

I bought this study Bible for my wife and she loves it. It is helping her walk with Jesus. It’s hard finding a red-letter edition of the ESV translation, so this was a great find. ESV is a wonderful translation and this Bible has good study notes. I recommend it, and my wife definitely recommends it.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. The study portion is so good I often find myself grabbing his for more context.

The ESV Fire Bible, I think, may have had some "put-offs" because of its Pentecostal base when it was re-issued from an original Jack Hayford one. Thankfully, I sought and watched/read reviews and purchased the lovely flexi-soft Berry and Tan edition (very lovely, BTW; easy full opening and handling, and not too sizeable to take to church). I recently purchased a couple of well-hyped CSB Bibles I wanted to explore.They ARE very nice, in their way, with "helps" accentuated. But I am most taken with the very complete footnotes, highlighting things I previously overlooked or never knew. The interspersed articles are not, not so far off base as to seem anything other than a Protestant Bible. The dedicated individuals advancing this new one (one now deceased) were thorough and passionate in advancing their love for the Lord and His Word. I pick up this version now repeatedly, when exploring specific Biblical accounts that are rereads.The print is somewhat small, but I still read it, unaided, with my older eyes. Too bad it's been advertised (if that's the correct word) as a PENTECOSTAL BIBLE. I just find that labeling misguided.

I can’t express how much I love this Bible you can barely tell it’s a Fire Bible after I’ve put all personality on it but truly the footnotes are so informative and have truly helped me so much to understand and the Articles are so amazing it has so many cross references for each chapter the Book introductions are soo amazing to give u insight on what the particular book is about and who wrote it and to who and when and why it’s awesome it’s also full of charts and maps and Themefinders before you even get into all the books they have a page in the beginning of the Bible that teaches God’s Salvation through Christ there is a reading plan to read the Bible in a year truly a great Study Bible I can’t say enough good things about it if your thinking about it Get It !

This is my go to bible for study! It has helped me so much to learn and understand the Bible better. I use it daily and get so much out of it. It’s truly excelled my knowledge and understanding. It’s a must for anyone trying to learn more about the Bible and its teachings!

My daughter has been posting scriptures from this Bible and I had to have one. I love ESV version Bible because it is so easy to read and study with. The accuracy of the scriptures are spot on with the King James Version but easier in a reading version.

Like really really huge. Lots of good commentary, etc. But you aren’t taking this out of the house at all.

Commentary notes are written from a "Pentecostal" perspective. Notes are not heavy, it explains the text in easy to read English but also integrates what may be applicable to you. While I may not agree to all the notes and articles, the bible is very nice even just for reading purposes. Happy with mine.

First proper ESV study bible....im a Curry Blake fan...he said ESV is the most accurate

Excellent notes. A wealth of information.

This is one of the very best study bibles available today.Using a good modern translation (ESV), it is bound in an attractive leather cover. Quality appears to be excellent.The notes are plentiful and are written from a pentecostal perspective. But don't let that put any non-pentecostal Christian off purchasing it. This version strikes a rare - but very welcome - balance between dry doctrinal issues and practical advice for Christians new and old. The author was a classical pentecostalist and the reader will see a surprising strong stand on numerous issues - non of the flimsy wish-wash of modern charismatics.There are many essays also included on specific subjects and even if you don't agree with a few of them, it's still a tremendously helpful work.
