With the instructions for this it was so easy to use and setup and works very well.

Bought in Feb, 2021 & used today for the third time. Thought I’d give it some time before reviewing.Much of the criticism seen in other reviews are correct: my two biggest woes, as repeatedly reviewed, a) the battery life is appalling, really appalling - 15 minutes at best. I have a smallish garden but it will still take two days to complete.b) the “collection bag” is a misnomer. It just doesn’t catch anything, honestly, it couldn’t catch a cold, so be ready for a lot of manual raking. I contacted Greenworks in case I was missing something & got no where.It does have a cumbersome bizarre height adjustment, but there are no instructions on this. The review elsewhere on this was the only way I knew about it.All in all, I wouldn’t buy again and wouldn’t recommend it. You’d be better using your money to pay a professional to come and do it twice a year. So disappointing.

this is the basic model so no depth adjustment. The collecting box is poorly made with no instructions as to putting it together, although seemingly simple the lengths of the mesh are out so a lot of stretching needed to get it on the frame. Having gone to all that effort it collects nothing!!! It just tips every now and then and leaves a great mass of thatched grass etc. I used the lawn mower to pick up the remainder of the ploughed field. Heavy on battery usage but maybe because it was the first dethatching.Sadly the handle does not double fold as do their mowers. Poor omission re storage.Yes it did the job but quality of product not up to Greenworks usual standard. Had this been my first Green Works purchase it would have been returned. I gave three stars because it did the job!Sorry Green works but the next model up may be better but this one is a miss.

Scarrifiers have very hard life from the start, mine lasted six months very few uses I contacted Greenworks for warranty replacement and guess what its not covered ! well it was worth the try, the spring tines take a heavy toll so it is very hard to know how long they will last anyway machine useless without it so I purchased this one. it arrived in very quick time fitted perfectly and has lasted up to this post so I hope it will keep going and anyway can always get another if not.

I use 2 amp hour batteries but I can only get about 10 minutes maximum when using with the above item . The batteries themselves need a gorilla type of grip to pull out of the housing . The battery rain cover has fallen off twice already and the plastic securing bolt is now lost . The thatch collection box is a pain to assemble and fills up within minutes so we do not use it. That said , it is an effective piece of kit for small areas . I did my large lawn in stages .

Battery is powerful enough to propel the dethatcher as well as scarifying and gives about an hour of usage. Does a great job and is light and easy to use. One issue is the 3 thick books of instructions etc yet the assembly drawing is one piece of scrappy paper.

Managed to follow guide to assemble machine.Pleased with the result and the machine is efficient at removing moss from the lawn.I don’t use the basket to collect ,instead use my lawnmower as it has a larger basket.

Used on dry ground and short grass. Stopped after approximately 20 minutes with overheating battery. As expected would not take additional charge until cooled down. Began work again but once again battery overheated.Next day something broke and motor disconnected from cassette.Great service from Amazon. Painless return, picked up by courier, and rapid refund.
