Torq Energy Gel 45g

I took this along to Haslemere Rugby club at a friendly match to try it out.The gel element was alien to some of the older members of the squad and put them off.The taste was not to every bodies liking and put about a quarter of people off immediately after opening. I got to agree that the taste was not great as it tasted very sugary, but a quick swig of water cleansed my pallet. I would say half the team had a gel pouch but not all would come back for more. For the next match I gave away the rest of the pack, with some even wanting two or three at a time.Did it work. I would think yes it did a good job of keeping my energy level high.I will definitely buy another batch of 20 to keep the team going for 80 minutes. Hopefully there might be a bigger flavour range to select from soon.

These do the job, but the taste pretty gross. The guarana make them taste substantially worse than those without it (normal torq gels are delicious). If you squirt them down quick enough though, it's fine. I don't understand the science or reasoning behind using guarana rather than caffeine, but it seems to give me more gastro side effects than just the caffeine, for whatever reason. Maybe it just contains more. Overall great product, if I'm running for 4+ hours I will use 1 or 2 of these spread off by an hour or two, and use something else in between.

These are really yummy and I can't say that about most gels !! It's like having a spoonful of liquidised apple crumble. The small sachets are easy to store in your back pockets. Used these all year and found them easy on my stomach (unlike other gels). Helped me round Ride London and an 80 mile training ride in Sweden. The Rhubard Crumble and Raspberry Ripple are also yummy, but Apple Crumble is my favourite !

My go to choice for long runs, these are sticky, sweet and very tasty. Smaller packets than some other gels I’ve used make it easier to fit in my running belt

Great gels.. tried one a friend gave and it is very sweet but very tasty and im sure you can feel your cells re energising.. got me through some tough rides

These are the most delicious gels I have ever tasted. I have tried lots of gels before, and still use others now (as these aren't isotonic and contain no caffeine or guarana). Other torq gels are nice, but nothing can compete with these. I have found myself out on long runs with one gel left, deciding to run an extra 30 minutes so that I can have it.

I have been using these this year as part of my training program for my endurance runs and rides . They have not failed to deliver the when used correctly. Good selection of flavours, some a bit too sweet for me but can be mixed into water bottle.

Used for Half and full marathon fuelling and they worked a treat. Tasted good and easy to digest without water. Ordered more since my original order!
