Well done!
If you can train a chicken, you can train anything!Well done book. Regrettably, I gave 4 of 5 stars because it is printed in communist china.

Following the process
Am following the process, almost have their cooperation to pick up! Some of my chickens are taming faster then others but all are progressing. I have the flock following me when I am outdoors, 15 chatty chickens, hens and a rooster.

Bought as a joke
Got this for my SIL as a joke as she LOVES her chickens. I also ordered a dog clicker, which confused her when she opened it first. Once she got to the book she cracked up laughing, so it did it's job.

Interesting book.
I like the way the author writes in easy to understand directions. It’s an interesting book with things I have not read in my other chicken books.

not for practical training
This is a good book for trick training, but when the description touts "practical tips," I was hoping that meant coop training and nest box training. Instead, it means tips for how to keep and transport a fancy trick chicken that you treat like a family dog, lol. I was hoping to learn more about chicken behavior and how to get them to use nest boxes. This book isn't for that.

Chickens can do more than lay eggs
We have several chickens, so when I saw this book, I was interested in seeing what it said. My main reason for reading it was that I wanted to learn more about chicken behavior to take better care of them, being able to train them was a bonus. Up till now, all the training I had thought about for our chickens was to make sure they stayed in the safety of the run. I figured in learning to train a chicken, I could better understand their behavior. The book provides background on chicken behavior, social traits, and how to use a clicker and treats for training. Each step in the training process is outlined and then explained with the ways, places, and things you’ll need. The reasons for both the steps and details are given, so you have a firm understanding of what to do.The instructions are practical and easy to follow. After reading the book, you’ll have a working knowledge of what to expect and how to handle training your chicken. I don’t know if I’ll be able to train all of our chickens, but I’m willing to try training at least some of them.I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Pretty basic. Fun for kids. Not a study in operant conditioning
