All tea light candles are meant to be placed inside tea light candle holders. These have a plastic base which is not a problem when used appropriately. All candle wicks are meant to be trimmed (every single time) before lighting the candle so that the candle can burn slow and evenly. That said, I love these tea-lights. I've already purchased two boxes. (one box arrived covered in oily wax residue, one didn't) They smell great but not too strong. They're perfect for my small apartment- it may or may not be the same for a larger space.

My favorite part of these candles is they don’t leave black soot on our Himalayan candle holder.The scents aren’t over powering and I love the variety of colors. I’m using the pink & purple candles for my Advent wreath.The only down side is they don’t last very long and can burn unevenly. But you can carefully adjust the wick part way through.I will definitely buy more when I run out.

it was egh ok... the scents are weak and not strong at all you need to make light 4to 6 candles at one time or more to get a good scent going in home.. but for tea lights they're ok and good deal for the amount so if u need alot for special occasion there perfect!

These candles come in the cutest vintage box that would make it giftable. Bought these for myself based on the fact that they are soy based. I didn’t read that they were small jar candles but I am pleased with the purchase. I thought they would be a bit bigger than what I received. They all smelled great just out of the box and I burned the French cade and lavender one first. It smells wonderful! Hopefully the other 2 will too once I burn them. Would make a great teacher gift!!!

This is a ton of candles for the money. The variety is nice, and the scents are pleasant and smell like what they are supposed to be. However, they aren't strong candles, and they only last about 30 or 40 minutes, meaning I need this entire box if I want to burn them in my office for 5 days. Probably won't buy again.

The scent wasn't very strong but it lasts significantly longer than cheaper tea lights I have used. I use this to keep my teapot warm so I'm actually quite happy that the scent isn't strong. I would definitely buy again, although since these last so long I don't know when I will!

We love this super beautiful candles! Lovely scent! I love this pack of many many many candles for everyday use! they are excellent to put on my candle holder at my desk as well as my living room, the scent was so good from the time they arrived in the mail even when I did not open the box yet! Perfect packaging with all the scented separated in their own package :)

I bought these because they were described in the product name as "highly scented"; unfortunately, there is little to no scent either when the candles are actually burning, or even after blowing them out. I tried lighting several candles of the same scent to see if that might get some fragrance out of them, - and even kept them in a closed room and left them on until they burned out completely - but unfortunately that did not make any noticeable difference either. The box was somewhat fragrant when I first opened it, but even that initially discernible scent has faded (and it's only been a couple days since I opened it). The only time you can actually detect the scent is when you hold a candle very close to your nose to smell it, and that too only if the wax is completely dry and solid. Once it's lit, any hint of fragrance pretty much entirely dissipates. I was surprised and disappointed given some other reviews; I have an unusually heightened sense of smell, and it's rare that I am able to detect this little of a fragrance even in poorer quality candles.The one other issue - though minor, especially as the lack of fragrance is so much more the salient issue - is poorly designed package labeling. The box contains candles with four different types of scents, and each type is separately packaged within the box, but there is absolutely no labeling of each of those separate sets of candles to identify their scent type. In theory many people can probably figure it out by matching the candles' colors to the colors associated with the different scent types shown on the main box's packaging (which has pictures of the different scents, such as roses, lemons, etc., but also does not directly label or otherwise indicate the scent types in words), but I personally had trouble with this as I'm mostly color blind.
