Good pads for black anodized BMX rims
These pads are built as solid as their dual compound siblings, but better suited for black anodized BMX rims. Overkill for park/flat riding, but decent for street/traffic stopping power. If adjusted with a slight toe-in, they feather and grip well enough without squealing or scratching the rim. I recommend removing the shine on the rubber braking surface with some sandpaper before installing. Check them (and the rim surface) for debris every now and then, and they should last quite a while.Note: The dual compound versions are better suited for chromed/machined rim surfaces.

Stops well and allows for great feathering as well.
Perfect for what I'm looking for in brake pads. I have pads that do stop more aggressively but these have the benefit of stopping well and the capability of great brake feathering. I haven't tried every pad on the market but I'm very happy with these.

Squeaky to the max
I bought these for my big flyer because I was warned the factory ones would eventually squeak. Well the indeed begin the get noisy…. I did some research and many people pointed in the direction of kool stop. Excited, I put them on immediately. Quick down to the end of the maiden voyage…. Squeaked a little. I thought well maybe I just need to ride on them for a while and they would break in. WRONG!Tonight I went for the 4th ride and let me tell you these brake pads sounded like a damn trumpet 🎺 coming to a stop. Horrible pads… idk if I got a bad batch maybe but these are coming off asap. Waste of money.
