this is an amazing book! it tells HISTORY like it is, not from the point of view of the conqueror, instead Brown presents an objective picture of what happen to the native population of the Americas on the arrival of Christopher Columbus.Brown does not forget other civilizations that existed prior to the first contact, and emphasizes, on the role of the conquered, the natives, the slaves, the people that we didn't hear from in our history class.
