I have had this for my two cats for about a week now and used it almost every day. Gives me great peace of mind - a must have for any outdoor/indoor cat or just a cat who loves to escape.I let my cats have supervised outside time around my house, they occasionally go into the other yards or try and cross the very quiet street into bushes. We had one or two times where the cat wouldn't come back for a little while and after a late night escape and search of the area we decided to get trackers. I knew we wanted radio trackers because I wanted to know which direction they were in within a small area.This tracker is great, I consistently find the cats within a few minutes. Sometimes if they are a bit further away I have to walk around to get a lead on them, the range isn't that far. BUT if you dedicate to the system you will eventually find it. One of my cats lost the collar 3 houses away in a soccer net and I was able to find it - I would have never ever found it without this.A few notes:1)check batteries frequently - other reviews note that the batteries will die quite quickly so I would test every few days2) the range is short so you will need to walk around a bit to find the signal, don't get discouraged you need to take time and search around methodically3) it beeps on your cats collar when you are close (I love this feature) it can freak the cat out so practice indoors with treats - added benefit is that they will quickly learn to come home for treats when they hear the beep beep

For those of us who need a little peace of mind letting their cats in a pretty safe outdoor environment, this works great. Inexpensive and reliable. It is very small and light weight, and fits comfortably on both my cats collars no problem. I prefer the waterproof silicone attachment to just hanging it off their collar, which they also seemed to prefer.The range is pretty decent, I usually get a signal a few houses away from wherever my cats really are, and unlike some of the other reviews there are no problems tracking a cat behind peoples' houses or behind fences. The trackers on the collars make a small little chirping noise when they are activated. This is great because I've given my cats treats every time they are successfully tracked. Now they've learned to associate the chirping on their collar with me tracking them, and therefore, with a treat. When it starts to get dark outside I go out to the front of the house, press the button on the remote, and head off in the direction of the cat. Within seconds he is usually running up the street to meet me, at which point I give him a treat and take him inside. The other cat will come right to the back door without me having to call her name. As soon as her collar starts chirping she is eager for the treat and will meet me there. Occasionally, one of the cats comes home without their collar on, since outdoor cats should ALWAYS have a safety snap-off collar... but no problem, just track it! Couldn't be simpler.Of course, a small, inexpensive GPS collar would be ideal so you could know exactly where the cat is at all times. Because this technology doesn't quite exist yet, this is a wonderful alternative for pet owners who are a little apprehensive about letting their cats outside. The real reason I bought it is because in the unlikely event of a cat getting harmed or hit by a car, most cats do not go home upon getting injured... they run and hide. If something were to happen, and my cats did not come home in the evening as per usual, I would have something in my hands to help find them. Highly, highly recommended.

First, I've been using this with my small outdoor cat for close to a year now.My cat has a nice break-away collar with name tags that she kept losing, at about $15 per loss. I bought this to find the collar when she loses it, and also locate her in case I can't find her (She generally stays within 1500 feet of my house, and I have plenty of property for her to roam).If your looking for a tracker that will pinpoint your cat quickly under many conditions at vary long distances, this will not work. The range on this varies wildly (depending on trees, bush, elevation, etc blocking the signal.) You will likely have to walk around and point the remote control in various directions hoping to pick up the signal. Once it's acquired, it becomes a simple task of walking in the direction where the signal grows stronger. Having used this multiple times now, usually the signal goes off when your roughly 500-800 feet from your kitty (or collar). The tracking chip also emits a beeping noise when your searching, helping further pinpoint it when you get close. Simple, and it works consistently - but be warned if your cat or dog has wandered off thousands of feet away, this will be useless unless you get lucky and walk close enough set off the remote control signal.I'm still on the original battery, and the waterproof case around the cats collar has not failed yet. My cat, which is pretty small, doesn't seem to notice or mind the tracker on her collar. For what I wanted it for, this has worked perfectly for my needs. Great for general pinpointing if your willing to do some "groundwork" to find your pet or pet collar.

I love the concept I have only used them a few times. I am training my cats to come when they here the little signal when I activate it so I don’t have to track them. The tracker doesn’t pick up signal as far as it says when there is tall grasses and brush stuff between it and the receiver. Battery life can’t comment on yet. Water resistance can’t comment really other than it seems like it should be with silicon cover. However , my covers are already tearing with little use. They need to made more durable for collar use with cats. Cats go into brush. The size could be smaller also for cats.I would give more stars but there is no costumer service. I requested a replacement cover and only could get if returned Whole set. Which I won’t do cause it’s fine other than the silicon cover. I see u can purchase replacement covers, but mine is only a few weeks old and used only 6-8 times and they are expensive in retro spect to quality.

I wish it had more range, but this product really is good. I use it on two cats, and size is not a problem. The holder thingy is silicone, so I'm not sure if its the collar or the holder they are forever scratching, but I don't leave them on because of it - just when they go out. As you may have noticed from the Internet, directionality can be deceptive. This is simply because radio waves bounce all over, but it is just good enough that I can always find my cats. Basically the range is not that far - beginning to get sketchy once the monsters are in the neighbour's yards. Batteries don't last all that long in the collars - maybe a month or three, and they are difficult to replace, and look like the senders get just a little more damaged each time. I bought a card of 10 batteries for about $2, which at least solved the battery cost problem. The hand unit battery seems to last quite a while and is easy to replace.

一見高く感じるこの値段。実はとてもお買い得でした。2年間の保証付き、日本正規品、日本語の説明書（わかりやすい）、そして2種類のシリコンカバーがついています。（ぶら下げるタイプと首輪に通すタイプ）別途シリコンカバーを購入するとこの値段では買えないでしょう。とても満足しています。本体少し奥行きがあるものの約5ミリの薄さ。落としたら壊れるかな、、雨に濡れたら壊れそう。。という気持ちにもなりますが、その気持ちのおかげで大切に扱っています。電池はCR2032。一緒に新品も注文しました。もともと入っていた電池は使わずに即新しいものに変えて約3週間。毎日1、2度使用してますが、まだいけそうです。子機子機は2つはいっていますが、最大4つまで登録できるようです。親機からの電波を受信するとピッピと鳴ります。こちらも即新しい電池に変えました。LR1130電池を2つ使用。電池交換は簡単に出来ましたが、電池を一つは表一つは裏にいれるので要注意です。こちらは猫がいなくなって切れたら怖いので他の方のレビューを目安に2.5〜3週間を目安にかえています。電池切れを考えると早めの（実際使用頻度によると思います）交換を心がけています。シリコンカバー首輪に通すタイプがオススメです。フィット感があり、邪魔になりませんし猫も濡れるのが嫌なので結果として水没の危険もありません。ただし、我が家の猫は時々爪でひっかくので若干穴が空いています。防水テープで止めています。使用について我が家の猫は出入り自由なので夜は外にでかけてしまいます。暗闇の中2、30mを目安に場所を移動しながら反応をみています。大抵5、6分後には猫を発見しています。発見したらものすごい勢いで猫を褒め称えます。そして美味しい食事を提供します。これを何度か繰り返すと子機が親機の電波を受信した時に鳴るピッピ音を猫自身が聴いてすぐに捜していることを理解しにゃーんと鳴き自分から姿を表します。そうなったらこっちのものです。暇つぶし、ダイエット気分で毎日猫を探しましょう。猫の行動範囲もわかりますので一石二鳥です。我が家の猫は発見後トコトコと後ろをついて歩いて家まで一緒に帰ります。ご褒美欲しさに。。首輪安全首輪をしています。一度首輪をなくして帰ってきましたがピッピと即発見。首輪をなくされると大損ですが、首輪さえもきちんと探せますのでありがたいです。購入を決めたポイントは、他の方のレビューと、猫の家出。（1週間で帰ってきましたが）安いものではありませんが、愛猫ちゃんがいなくなってからしまった！！と後悔したくありませんものね。

We've had two weeks to play with the Loc8tor pet tracker and it's a really great product. Not a GPS, it relies on directional radio tracking. Cat sleeping in house? Easy to find. Cat in neighbors yard? shows up right away. Cat down the street? Take a walk and when you're about one house away you'll start to get signal, just point and walk and there's cat to great you ("...hey human, what are you doing here!"). Also found the collar once when cat lost it. GPS would be very interesting too, but this product shouldn't take a back seat. It works reliably, seems to be built well, has a simple design. The Loc8tor opens a whole new door into understanding your pet, like what it does and where it goes. Also, taught the kids how to radio track (takes me right back to my CB radio rabbit-hunt days). I'm thinking of getting more collar tabs to use with the keys my wife keeps losing.Cons: you have to walk around the neighbourhood to find the cat. But, you get some exercise and your neighbours are generally glad to meet you (Hi, I've just radio-tracked my cat to your house...when she's done mooching could you please send her home?). The range is a little short but it runs on button cells so that's the trade off I guess. It's really not difficult to walk until you get a signal, and once you have a better feel for her usual haunts, it's dead simple.2 month update: Found lost collar three more times (quick release collar)--getting close to paying for itself not having to buy replacement cat license tags; we know if the cat is sleeping inside, in the yard, or within a one house radius just by standing in the kitchen...useful when it's time to lock up the house at night before bed. Really a useful purchase and highly recommend.

最近は面倒なのでレビューを書かないのですが，これはぜひともレビューを書いて参考にしてもらおうと思いました。先月，１０年以上室内で飼っている愛猫が突然家出して１６日間も帰ってきませんでした。過去にも何度か外に出たことがあるのですが，すぐに戻ってくる猫だったので，心配して家族全員憔悴してしまいました。同じような思いをしたくなかったのでGPSの購入を検討したところ，この商品を見つけた次第です。GPSに比べて価格が安かったので半信半疑で購入してみました。届いた商品を見た第一印象は，親機が安っぽい作りで，こんなので役に立つのかと疑ってしまいました。購入後，猫が外に出ることはなかったのですが，今日，仕事から帰ってきたら猫が外に出てしまったとのこと。早速，家族でロケーターを持って捜索に出ました。居住地は政令指定都市の住宅街なので家が密集しており，電波の受信には期待できませんでした。80mほど近所を歩きましたが反応がなかったので駄目かなと思っていたところ，親機のインジケーターがピッと反応しました。皆，「おおーっ」と驚き，ゆっくりと反応が強くなる方向へ歩いて行きました。徐々に反応が強くなり，期待に胸が高まりました。親機が指し示したのは，１０数台の車が止まっている屋根付きの駐車場でした。近所とはいえ，初めて足を踏み入れたので，まさかこんなところに・・・と思っていたら，「いたー！」いました！車の下にハナちゃんが！子機の発信音に驚いた様子で，名前を呼んでも車の下から出てきません。こんなこともあるかと思い，用意してきたカリカリ（キャットフード）を差し出したところ，見事に捕獲成功！というわけで，初めての使用でロケーターの性能を実証することができました。住宅密集地でも十分使える性能です。これはすごいです。本当にお勧めです。これさえあれば安心して生活できます。久しぶりに長いレビューを書きました。

I purchased this product to help me locate my pet tortoise when he is out getting exercise. I like to be able to let him wander around our backyard in the summer and explore the family room inside in the colder months. However after he’s done exploring he usually finds a quiet corner , or worse case scenario, he burrows down and buries himself! Last year he burrowed in the sand in his enclosure and was ‘missing ‘ for 2 months!! I assumed he had escaped!!!I purchased this device bc it was the smallest one I could find I attached it to his shell using sticky Velcro so I can remove it when he is in his enclosure It works great!!! It stays on his shell and I have been able to locate him in places I least expected him! This allows him to have more freedom than I have been able to provide him with in the past.I would love to use it on my cat who we can never find at night, but he always ditches his collar so unfortunately I’m not sure how helpful this would be. It works great to locate my tortoise inside or out. Even underground!!!
