Seriously?
I mean the price is worth it. It has tables that a lot of other books don’t have, not to mention this is a ttrpg for a GM and one person, or solo! Super easy to pick up and just hash out a whole combat scenario in less then 5 minutes if your rip roaring that is. Have fun I know I am.

A fantastic RPG for a GM and a few players, or for a solo RPG enthusiast!
This is a must buy if you like playing sandbox RPGs, be it as a GM with 1 or 2 players, or on your own (solo mode). Why? Because it has lots of content that will come in handy! The system is well balanced, and offers many cool tools and random tables to keep you and your player(s) entertained. You may find NPC generators, name generators, adventure generators, monster encounter generators, loot and magic item generators, among other goods. It also includes a really interesting monster compendium with lots of creatures taken from Southeast Asian folklore, which is a big plus if you want to generate encounters with beasts that have nothing to do with those of your traditional fantasy setting. Keep in mind though that it is an OSR system, similar to D&D 0e/1e, or to games such as Labyrinth Lord. The rules are clear, and you can easily start playing after reading. You may choose to play the game in the Red Tide setting (a pseudo Southeast Asian world. See info below), or you may adapt it to whichever universe you prefer. Also, in the solo section of the game, located at the end of the book, you'll find tools for: urban encounters, wilderness exploration, and dungeon crawls. They are exquisite! Now, as a word of advice: Some people may find some of the contents distasteful, but that's because they have a similar feel to those kung-fu movies from the 70's where cultural limits and stereotypes were used for entertainment purposes only.

Impressive
I buy and read a lot of rpg books and this is one of the best I've seen in a long time. It contains a full OSR D&D game (similar to Swords and Wizardry), an inspiring setting, a bestiary/treasure section, pages of prompts for adventure design, and a system for solo play. For many people who cannot play with a group (due to Covid or other circumstances), this single book is all you need! The author does an excellent job of providing all of this in 130 pages. Magnificent!

I am here for the solitaire rules.
I am not into the Asiatic campaign and setting, I grabbed this book only for the solitaire rules section which can be used for any RPG system. It is one of the best solo resources I have used and highly recommend this book on that alone!

Just what I needed
A large softback book, Scarlett Heroes fits in perfectly with all my other OSR derived books. It presents both rules and its own setting material. The rules are designed to make you first level (and subsequent level) characters awesome level heroes, to the point one one player with one PC can dive into a dungeon on their own. This was perfect for me as I wanted to try some solo games. I went a little off-track in my solo play combining the solo part of the rules with other games scenarios (Basic Fantasy). Its well written, the rules are clear, the setting material is fascinating and I will be attempting some play using it.

It's Good!
Got it for the solo rules, the setting isn't bad at all but definitely noth the main reason to buy it, the tables for solo are great for adventure building if you are lacking inspiration for you regular sessions in the most popular Roleplaying game
