El «English Breakfast Tea» es una mezcla de tés negros (Assam, Ceilán y Kenia). Aunque por el nombre parezca acertado pensar que proviene de Inglaterra, lo cierto es que el origen del nombre es americano: es el té que bebían los ingleses en EE.UU. durante la época colonial. El de Twinings es algo caro pero de gran calidad. Su sabor es fuerte e intenso, pero no amargo.
