Really like this
This has really helped me keep my rows straight. I place the drills, roll them, and gently lift with one hand while smoothing with the other. Basically just what they show in the video. By the second round I had it down so just a small learning curve.

Two problems - two solutions
There are two complaints about this tool. One is that it doesn't pull up without removing drills and two, that it doesn't align properly. Regarding the first issue, there is a trick to making the drills behave. Once all drills are placed, using your non-dominant hand, pull the ruler up slowly and gently WHILE AT THE SAME TIME using your dominant hand to press gently down on the diamonds. This prevents the drills from clinging to the ruler and you can hear them snapping out of the tool and firmly onto the canvas. At most, I end up with one that clings to the ruler - the rest are perfectly aligned and settled where they're supposed to be. Regarding the second problem - non alignment. The first canvas I used the ruler with was a non-issue. However, the second definitely had alignment issues. It doesn't take but a tiny change in the printing of the drill field to cause the ruler to misalign. I'm assuming different creators and different factories contribute to the problem. I noticed on the second canvas that about half the length of the ruler matched the canvas while the remaining half gradually aligned itself farther and farther off grid. So I simply started laying drills in the first half only, pulling it up and then resettling the ruler for the second half and the problem resolved. What I LOVE about the tool is how incredibly straight the drills end up being. Much more so (and less stressfully I might add) than placing by eye. And the other plus with the ruler is there is absolutely NO adjusting as you go. The drill either fits in the hole or it doesn't and if it doesn't, then gently pressing down with my finger resulted in a satisfying click as it settled into place.

easy to use but take practice to line up your holes evenly
makes it easier to diamond paint and put your rows neater

Awesome Packaging!
The media could not be loaded. I've bought several diamond art rulers from this seller and every one of them comes wrapped up on a piece of hard wood and placed inside is own reusable bag. No chance of the ruler bending or breaking, thank you! I've ordered rulers from other sellers and they've come either bent or broken.... not from this seller. AWESOME!!!!!

I cannot even imagine doing these without a grid ruler
I did my first few dp projects without a grid ruler, then decided to use this, and I will never go back to trying to keep the rows aligned without it. They do take some getting used to. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, you can't just rip off the ruler once you are done with that section of drills, you have to peel it off while making sure the diamonds snap through the holes. What I find is that dp manufacturers do not make even sized diamonds, which makes the tool a little more difficult to use, but I got used to it. Also, there are 2 different sized rulers, a 141 and a 140; if your painting doesn't align you probably need the other size.

Works like a charm, but can slice your finger
I really like this ruler, it makes my diamond painting look really straight. It will take some time to get used to but it really does make it look nice. My ONLY problem is when you remove it...it cut a deep slice in my finger. Think paper cut but instead, it is sharp metal...cut through my finger like butter. So...be VERY careful with the edges. And you have to remove it really slowly so the beads don't pop up. I am not sure if tape on the edges would help or somehow dulling the edges.
