Trex Cortex Fascia 50 LF (Island Mist)

Used this on Trex fascia. Was easy to use. Final product looks good. Recommend.

This kit is for putting screws into Trex and then hiding them with the provided plugs. My need was slightly different. I removed a damaged above-ground pool ladder from my deck, leaving holes in the Trex that weren't going to line up with the new ladder. So I didn't need the provided screws, but the counter-bore tool allowed me to widen the holes a little bit, and to the right depth. The circular plugs have an offset grain texture that allows you to line them up pretty well with the boards they go into. A few taps with a rubber mallet and the job is done. No one would notice the 'patch' without it being pointed out.

Makes creating the hole extremely simple. Most plugs fit perfectly. It seems like there weren't enough plugs that were dark enough to match the fascia.

Counter drill bit works well with the plugs and screws. Screws hold tight. The most challenging part was sorting through the plugs to find one of equal color to plug where your hole is located because the island mist has different shade colors randomly throughout the boards.

We re-did our deck this last summer with Trex Havana Gold and these Fascia plugs are a must! They match perfectly and are really easy to install.

Looks good , I used it on Rocky Harbor facia and it was a good match , you could see the plugs but it matched good.

Great kit! Conceals all the screw heads. Not a single hole was miss drilled nor did any screws break. 10/10 would buy again
