Hurts my Dogs Gums
First off let me start by saying that I have two seventy pound lab mixes. They will only play with plush toys and they are very rough with them. The typical toy will last about a day, maybe two tops. I was very excited when I read about these toys as they promised extreme toughness with softness to protect their gums.I purchased two of these toys about a month ago (both the bull and the sheep) and they are still in one piece. The fact that they are still in one piece is that my dogs won't really touch them. In fact, after the initial 5 minutes of excitement, I haven't really been able to get them to play with them at all and here's why:Cons:No squeakers! These toys are quite large and very heavy. Even with dogs their size, there aren't many places on the toy that they can grab and get a good hold on. This leaves them only the horns to comfortably pick it up by, but the weight of the toy doesn't allow them to run around with it as it bangs into their legs as they move.I believe that the weight and size issue wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't for the false advertising about them being soft. All of the seams on the toy are reinforced with very hard nylon stitching, which protrudes about 1/2" out from the toy. If you look carefully at the pictures you can see it, it is the black seam running along the horns, back, hoofs, etc. This tough nylon causes my dogs gums to bleed. There is enough discomfort caused by the thick, hard nylon that they have left blood stains all over the horns.Pros:If your dog will actually play with this toy, I would imagine it is the best bang for the buck you will find. Although pricey, the build of the toy is far superior to any other plush toy I've ever seen. Had my dogs been able to use this toy, I would imagine that it would have lasted a VERY long time before they were able to completely dismantle it.Conclusion:All in all I wasted a decent amount of money buying toys that will never get used. I would never have purchased these toys if the description had been more accurate about it having "soft edges won't hurt gums." However, if your dogs don't have sensitive gums, then this just might be the toy for you...

Great! With time, will need replacing :)
We got 2 of these for our Mountain Cur and Boxer-Dane. Both dogs are great at destroying things and have very sharp teeth. My cousin got this exact toy for his hyper Pit-Boxer and it held up very well, he only had to replace it about every 5 months when it was completely warn. Hence why we got these. It's been a month and they are actually still holding up. Minus the tails being riped off and minor seam splitage, they still hold a firm shape. There is A LOT of stuffing around the house though, its never ending. I can't complain They hold up a lot longer than any other toy, are hefty and large, and we went in knowing there would be a point of replacement. We since got the red hog and blue shark. Love the brand, just know : While they hold up for a long time, eventually they do need replacing.

Not Doberman Approved - But will last longer than most toys!
This toy was tuff but not tuff enough! My Doberman ripped the belly open and got all the stuffing out in less than a week - however it did last longer than most stuffed toys! Will be buying the 9-rated rabbit next to try. Would be ideal for a dog that's a bit more gentle. Doberman have a crazy bite and my boy likes to thrash around his toys, so this didn't stand much of a chance after day three. HAHA.

Aussie ADORES THIS TOY!
This Tuffy bull is my Australian Shepherd's favorite toy. She's 9 years old now (about 55 pounds) and has adored this toy for years now - not exactly the same bull because she usually destroys it within 6-9 months. So I've bought her quite a few because she gets so much mileage of play with it. She gets a lot of exercise with it because it is so big and heavy. I learned that female dogs also "hump" by watching her dominate this toy. She's out of breath by the time she's done every night. And it IS TUFF ... the stuffing takes a long time for her to get out. For the price, the exercise, the joy, and the fun ... this bull is really worthy it. I'm just about to buy another and wanted to be sure to let people know what a great toy this is! I've tried the other Tuffy animals, but this is the best one for my Aussie!

This bull holds the longetivity record
My sweetheart pit bull lives to destroy plush toys. It is a blink of an eye and she has disembowled, remove the fuzz and spits the squeaker on the floor like a champion. I've had Tuffy toys before, a smaller shark (face shewed off), pig (face chewed off). This bull arrived bigger than I expected. It's true that she cannot handle it the way she would a smaller toy, but that's even better. Pick it up, run back with it, and she gets tired in half the time. But the beautiful thing is she hasn't managed to get INSIDE the bull in 3 weeks. he is still intact, minus one ear. I predict she'll stack ripping his guts out in the next 2 weeks, but 5 weeks of toy survival is truly remarkable. I'm quite pleased, and so is Sophia.

Not for tough chewers.
The media could not be loaded. Teak loves his bull but he tore through the fabric on the foot after two months.

Saint & Sammy and their method to the toy killing madness
I bought the Triceratops and Bevo the Bull. I own a Cocker Spaniel and an American Bulldog/Lab mix. The normal scenerio will go like this: Sammy removes the stiching and Saint destroys the rest. So far all they have managed to do is chew off the ears on both and they are currently working on the Bull horns. Like many of the dog owners above if a toy lasts longer then a week, I consider it a great buy. Owning two gives the dogs more of a selection to abuse making it last 3 weeks so far. I didn't give it a 5 because I paid $60 for the Triceratops and I am still a little bitter about that.

strongest and best I expected better
Only gave this one star as I couldn't give 0! My cocker spaniel pup has had it 1 hour and managed to chew a hole in it! After all the reviews I read that this toy would be the tuffest, strongest and best I expected better!!
