Uncomfortable
I strongly dislike having to return items. It's a shame this is the first item I've ever returned to Amazon. The mouse worked fine. Great tracking. Rubber button feel was nice. The problem was that my hand felt uncomfortable while using this mouse -- almost cramped. If I held it like I would natually hold most mice, my thumb or pinky finger would inadvertenly press the side buttons -- this was very annoying while playing a few minutes of Half Life 2. I couldn't really pick the mouse up to reposition it without inadvertenly pressing the side buttons. Sometimes I would click them just by moving the mouse side to side.If I held the mouse further back then I couldn't comfortably spin the mouse wheel (to far a reach). My hand measures approx 7.5 inches from the bottom to the top of my middle finger.I thought about keeping the mouse for a few days to see if I could "learn to love it", but after a couple hours it was apparent that we simply weren't made for each other.I really wanted to like this mouse. I've wanted to try one since the original was release almost a deacade ago.

Once upon a time. King of the mouse.
This is one of the weirdest design of any mice I have owned, and I have owned a TON of them. I love this mouse not because it has the most ergo design (please...it is not), or because of the fancy lights. I love it because of the bold design language and especially at the age when this mouse came out years and years ago. This mouse reminds me of the old golden ages of Razer when they were the undisputed king of computer mice peripherals. I frankly don't like the trend of the modern day mice with braided cords and 30 different buttons with infinite configuration and weight systems. This mouse is a fundamentally a simple design with very progressive design language. You HAVE to train your hand to use this mouse and build the necessary muscle memory to avoid clicking the side buttons on both sides of the mouse. Once you get use to it, it is easy to use. The mouse buttons are pretty sensitive, so again, you have to train yourself to use this mouse and not the other way around. If you are looking for a mouth that 'disappears' into your palm with no training, this is NOT the mouse for you. But if you have a strong nostalgic weak spot for a mouse that use to be the king of its realm, then you owe it to yourself to take a look at this mouse king.

Great Design....
I Use A Palm Grip And Have Small Hands. The "Flatness" Of The Mouse Keeps My Hand In Place. Whereas Other Mice Have The "Hump" Which Forces My Hand Backwards. I'd Like To See Razer Or Anyone Else Bring Back That Design, Only With More Buttons (ie: Swiftpoint Z). I'm Giving The Azeron Cyro A Serious Look.

Takes getting used to I guess
I absolutely love the style and look of this mouse which is probably my #1 reason for buying it. I received it in the mail and gave it a test drive. At first I kept clicking the side buttons on accident, and well over a month later I find myself continuing to make that mistake! Here is a breakdown of how I rated itLooks: 5/5- This thing looks sick! stylish body, titanium colored top, and green mouse wheel and underbelly. Love it.Durability: 4/5- It seems to be more durable than most Razer products, which isn't saying too much. Overall, it should last a few years.Comfort: 3/5- I love the look of the big buttons, as well as the idea of side buttons, but something went awry in the design. The left side of the mouse has a groove that your thumb rests, which is very comfortable. However, the aforementioned buttons reside there as well, and they are a bit too sensitive for their location. I keep clicking the side by mistake, and any gamer can tell you that clicking a button on accident = deathValue: 3/5- You're paying for the "Collector's Edition" title. I would have loved to see this mouse be available for 50-55 bucks (I don't think Razer would agree) without the fancy tin.Overall: 4- The looks and durability are the saving grace here. The mouse works as it should with great response and accuracy, so nothing bad could be said about that. I think this product is great, but chances are I will move on to something a bit more comfortable.

It's still a classic....
What can I say? It has a metal housing (not just painted plastic), the buttons are huge, and it slides like glass across a surface. It has a very low-profile design which makes it ideal for gaming. I traded off my Logitech G7 (cordless G5) for it, and it met my expectations for doing so.Pros- EXTREMELY accurate. It may say 1800dpi, but it's instant (1ms response). Huge over-sized buttons which allow you to stretch and move your fingers around during a game session. Excellent scroll wheel and perfect skates.Cons- Only 5 buttons, difficult switching the DPI unless you sacrifice one of the five buttons...that's about all of the cons.Bottom Line- It's durable, comes with extra feet, and should last for many years to come. I think this mouse cuts the bells and whistles; it gives you only what you NEED. If a 5 button mouse does the trick for you, I can't recommend this mouse enough. Get one before they're gone for good.

Greatest mouse
I've been using this mouse since 2007. I was 13 years old when I purchased the original boomslang 2000dpi ball mouse and I've never looked back. The CE 2007 is IMO the greatest mouse ever produced, I have big hands and this is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. Its now 6 years old and in worried about having to replace it, I should have bought 2 when they were released, but too late now.As for the people who base a mouse's quality on dpi alone, they're wrong. I bought a mamba from razer, used it for about a month and went back to the boomslang. I gave the mamba away, nothing feels as good at this mouse, may it last forever and ever.
