We had to have our electrician install these - But they are PERFECT reading lamps for over our bed. Very sleek design. It has a dimmer - so you can control the amount of light. It swivles so that you can point them straight up to the ceiling and nice ambient light. VERY HAPPY WITH THESE

We like these for their sleek look and dimmable switch. The affordable price left room to hire someone to install them. So we were proud of ourselves until one of the lights would not turn off. At first our refund was not allowed because we were three days beyond return date. But I explained in a 20 minute session with amazon chat that the electrician took a month to get to us so we did not know about the defect sooner. We have to go through the return and repurchase because it is a third party seller, they cannot send a new one directly. If the second one works we will be happy.

I loved the sleek simple look and was seduced by that - however, after I finally was able to get my electrician to install it, the fourth time I turned it on, it could not be turned off - by that time the damn return date had passed and I have to pay to have an electrician take it out and replace it with something that I hope will work for a reasonable period. I would heartily recommend to Amazon that they stop carrying it - it is clearly very poorly made

We used two of these lights to flank our kitchen sink, and love, love, love them. You can aim the light beam with quite a lot of flexibility. The light itself has a dim feature, making this very versatile. It looks very nice, does not have a huge profile. The fact it is using LED means that there is no heat given off, adding that little touch of comfort when you are workin' your kitchen mojo.

I bought a pair of these as reading lights on a bed headboard. I bought the surface mount variant instead of the recessed variant, as I don't have wall boxes on which to mount these. These came with a bracket that the installer expects one to attach to a wall into either a stud or drywall anchors. It also assumes that there's a bare electrical wire coming out of the drywall, which isn't to code in the US. I intended to drill a hole in the side of the fixture and thread a lamp cord in anyway, instead of wiring to in-wall power, so this works for me, but likely won't mount to a standard US round or square wall box without doing something custom with a cover plate.The dimmer knobs were both gouged pretty badly. There's nothing in the packaging that could have caused this, so I'm guessing the knobs are just fished out of a bin at the factory, and were damaged before they were installed. The knobs do not click for off, just dim to zero. I haven't wired them up yet to see if they hum. Otherwise, the finish looks nice, and they have a good heft to them.Overall, a pretty solid product for the price, if you're willing to do some custom mounting.--------------------------------------------UPDATE:I got some lamp cords, and strain bushings, drilled holes in the side of these lights, and installed a cord, as that's how I'll be using them (see picture - THIS IS NOT HOW THE PRODUCT COMES, THIS IS MY MODIFICATION). Now that they're powered, I can hear that one of them is silent, and one has a pronounced buzz that increases in volume as you turn the light brighter. Though the knobs don't click to 'off', but just dim to nothing, neither light makes any noise when off.

It was hard to find a dimmable, hardwired, wall mounted reading light. This one fit all of our needs.As I was installing it I noticed that it did not seem to “click” off, just dim. So I bench tested it, see the video. In the video I say it only draws a couple of watts at full illumination, in reality it only draws a fraction of a watt.Good product.

The media could not be loaded. These are a good addition to the bedroom although we bought two and one is not turning off, the dimmer does not work and the light just stays on all the time.

I think this light is very eye appealing. However, like many others, this light does NOT shut off. My understanding is that led dimmers are made so they do not stay on when there is electric leakage. Perhaps the dimmer on these light are not led dimmers. Anyway, I’m returning one for a replacement that I doubt will work but I have already cut the holes. For the cost, not turning off shouldn’t be an issue. Perhaps Amazon needs to tell the seller to fix this issue or not sell on their site.
