Easy Swap
If you open your old one, as you would to change the battery. And do the same with the new one. You can swap the internal parts, including the mechanical key. Then there is no need to program the new one. I did both of mine in under 5 minutes. Caddy wanted about $500 for a new one, including reprogramming.

It Works!
I purchased the Key Fob for my 2019 Cadillac XTS hoping to save a little money over a purchase at the dealer. Not sure what they would have charged me, but I thought my price on Amazon was fair. I looked at a few You Tube videos on programming it, but decided to just take the fob to the dealer. My dealer charged $38 to program it quickly and the fob works like a charm. On departure from the service department the Service Manger told me that self-programming was becoming more complicated and self-programming may not work in these new models, so good thing I brought it to them. Sure..... Well, I was a little anxious because the packaging indicated 'no returns if opened'. I'm happy with it except it didn't come with the 'key'. So, if I want one of those and then have it cut to fit the car, I'm looking at another $35-$40 says the service department.

Proper OEM replacement for a 2017 Cadillac ATS
Product is as advertised. I was able to program it myself and all feature’s including remote start work properly. Follow the approximately 30 minute procedure in your owners manual

May not work on certain CTS Models did not work on mine
I ordered the fob, it arrived 2 weeks ago. My local locksmith spent a half hour trying to program it and could not get it to work. I returned this one and ordered the shell for my original which was worn out. In the meantime my locksmith ordered the new fob and said it would cost me a total of $188.00 Ct sales tax included, for the fob, programming and cutting the key blank. The key fob came in today, I went to get it not only did it take him a half hour to program it but he also cut the key and fob he gave me also had the logo on the back like the original.

Looked like new and easy to program Actual Key Fob for my 2015 Cadillac ATS 4 dr sedan
Let me start off by saying “wow” because I was about to pay over $350 at the Cadillac dealership to get a new one and over $250 at auto key locksmith to get it done when I came across North Coast Keyless I tell you this cost me refurbished $56 and once I got it very easy to program, thank you guys are awesome, btw it was for my 2015 Cadillac ATS Luxury.

Only the dealer could program the unit
I followed the service manual programming instructions, no response from the car. Took it to a local locksmith who is one of AAA's on call service resources. He spent 1 hour programming the unit three times, everything worked EXCEPT the remote start. He called the programming help line, they connected remotely and could not determine the fault. I took it to the local Cadillac dealer, works perfect!$158.00 to program, but at least I received a free oil change and car wash:-)
