Failed within a year
This cord quit transmitting video in under on year of ownership. Thought that maybe my receiver went out but when tested with a different hdmi ford everything worked fine.Up until today it worked great, but now it’s just a long wire that does nothingEdit: seller warranties the cord and offered free replacement

Think of this cable as a one way street
To start, my main objective in this cable was to provide the higher speed communication needed for my Blu-ray and Roku devices connected to my Yamaha Receiver to transmit Dolby Vision or other HDR content to my LG C9 OLED while also allowing ARC to function to get audio back from the TV for use with Smart TV Apps.I bought the 10m (~33ft) cableWhat this cable will do, though my own testing:Hooked up Source at Receiver and Display at TV:Provide HDR content capability from my Receiver to my TV without dropping video like my older 25ft HDMI cable (which worked fine until I replaced my receiver with something newer RXV-679 replaced with TSR-7850)Intermittent Audio through ARC (basically alternates 1 sec on /1 sec off)Hooked up Source at TV and Display at Receiver, as recommended by seller for ARC capability:ARC works flawlesslyNo video at all from receiver to TVBasically, if you're looking to minimize cables in your setup to allow both HDR/Vision over this distance and ARC, it might work on an older receiver, but it did not on my configuration. For now I'm stuck with two cables to do what I used to be able to do with one.

Future Proof, Hope So
Purchased the 10m (33ft) 8k optical cable to replace an old HDMI 1.2 speed cable. This works great for my newly purchased 4k HDR TV. The picture seems to have improved, I can control the Volume through my stereo and control my Apple TV with just one remote (Use Apple TV Remote). I would recommend anyone considering upgrading their HDMI cables to get these cables.-------2 Week Update: 4K SDR and 1080p Dolby Digital still work but 4K HDR Stopped working, Reached out to company for a replacement, fingers crossed this one works longer than 2 weeks. Lowered from 5 starts to 3 stars.

If you think you need this cable you probably do!
This cable works great! I was a little sceptical on the idea "optical" but definitely a difference. I was using a High speed HDMI with Ethernet cable roughly 1/2 inch thick running approximately 30 feet. I was able to display 4k with slight artifacts but only at 30hz. This cable is less than a 1/4 inch light weight (previous cable was heavy) extremely easy to run. Now all that said about it's physical appearance, how does it function. I'm still approximately 30 feet from the source but displaying 4k 120hz with 0 artifacts and the colors are much more vivid.

NOT 4k 120hz
I purchased this cable last year to "future proof" my projector setup in anticipation of eventually replacing some hardware that was getting a little old. A couple of months ago I updated my projector to a 4k 120hz capable projector, and last week I updated my PC to one that can crank out a 4k 120fps signal via an HDMI 2.1 port on the graphics card. This cable works fine at 4k 60hz, but when I update the display refresh rate to 120hz, everything goes black until the computer times-out and reverts back to 60hz.I replaced the cable with a "Cable Matters Active 48Gbps Ultra HD 8K" and tried increasing the display settings on the PC again to 120hz. The signal was almost immediately recognized by the projector. The CABLEDECONN cable was clearly the weak link in the chain. Not sure if there is a defect in my cable (benefit of the doubt)...or if this is flat-out false advertising. Have a look at the other reviews for this cable that say the same thing and save yourself the trouble of finding out the hard way. If you're looking to game at 4k 120fps, then look elsewhere.

Awesome!
This has been an awesome cable. I purchased it to replace a copper cable of the same length that was giving me quite a bit of artifacting when attempting to connect it to a 1440p 60hz display. This cable has completly resolved the issue for me! Optical is just amazing for long cable runs, def recommend going this route for anything over 30ft! And so far regarding optical CABLEDECONN cables have been spectacular for everything I've thrown them at!

Expensive but works well
Expensive but it works well. I’ve tried several hdmi cables - all with video distortion problems over 10 feet in length. This fiber optic cable on the other hand works great. I’m using the 30 foot cable. Highly recommend if your willing to dish out the dough.

NOT A 48GBPS CABLE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
So, I bought this cable to go with my LG C9 (which has HDMI 2.1 inputs) and my RTX 3080 graphics card (which has a HDMI 2.1 output). If this cable really does support 48Gbps, then it should allow for configurations above what's permitted by the HDMI 2.0b spec, but if you select anything that goes above that spec (18Gbps), you'll only get a blank screen. After searching only a bit, that seems to be a common issue with most fiber optic cables that claim to support 48Gbps. Buyers beware, do not waste your time like I did.

Doesn't work with HDMI 2.1 output
DO NOT BUY FOR RTX 3080/3090, many people have confirmed optic fiber cables don't work, this problem may also affect other HDMI 2.1 devices. I have an LG C9 HDMI 2.1 TV, this cable used to work fine with my previous 1080 Ti GPU (HDMI 2.0, 4k 60FPS output) but it doesn't work with my new 3080 GPU (HDMI 2.1 output), it can only do 1080p @ 60 FPS when no display port devices are connected to the GPU. The 3080 + TV work fine with another HDMI 2.1 (48gbps) cable that's not optic fiber.

Does not work and caused me inconveniences
Do not install before verifying whether the cables work. Since they are digital cables, either they work or theydo not, no matter how expensive the cables. In my case, I had purchased four of these. Two my projector and two for my Sony TV. I did not test these cables for the TV installation because the two I had installed for the projector installation (through the walls) worked. So when the professional TV installers came, I gave them two of these cables. They passed the two cables through the ceiling. Then, when the professional installers had finished passing the cables through the ceiling and installed the TV, they tested the TV and one of the cables did not work. Now, the cables are already inside the ceiling and cannot be removed, and I'm stuck with I can only use one of the two. Be careful and test the cable with your devices first before passing them trough walls or ceilings even though previous cables (exactly the same kind worked). That one cable that cost me over 110$ is not only completely useless but I only have one functional cable that went through my ceiling. I needed two of them. I'm forced using a shifter or an upgraded expensive amp for my expensive high end Focal speakers since I only have one functional HDMI cable. What an expensive disaster. Test the cable first ! It's a hit and miss with these cables.

buena construcción
es un producto caro por la distancia del cablelo uso para aprovechar el hdr y 4k en proyector con ps5.importante al conectarlo!el 2.1 tiene conector a la fuente y conector al display, no es bidireccional como los 2.0

Works Great and it comes with a lesson
Story: Just before I threaded it through my wall, I testing it a bit. It seemed to work great. After that, I got it through the wall and connecting my device to the TV, it never worked. After 2 days of searching, a comment buried 6 pages deep on this one site said something to the tune of "I had trouble until I plugged it in the right way. DISPLAY to the TV and SOURCE to the PC"...... I went to my PC and there it was...DISPLAY! @#$%&$ Ripped it all out of the wall, flipped it around and reinstalled it. Works perfectly. Lesson learnedDISPLAY goes in the TV and SOURCE goes in the PC kids!
