Incorrect sheath, poor fit and finish for a Joker knife - still loving this fixed blade
The media could not be loaded. The Joker Pantera knife was just delivered and I immediately noticed issues. First off, the sheath is different from the listing. One reason I got this knife was because the knife snapped into the sheath, as pictured in the ad. However, the Pantera came with a simpler sheath with no snap. Retention seems okay enough, but I wanted the security of the extra snap.Taking the knife out of the sheath, I noted fit and finish issues. The seams between the shoudlers and scales are uneven, side to side. This is so different from my other Joker knife, the Lynx, which is excellent in every regard. On the Pantera, the scale is quite flush with the bolster. On the other side, there is a gap between the bolster seam. I know these knives are handmade in Spain, so I can forgive this a bit, but the gap can be felt and seen. For a lower end steel, the knife is absolutely razor sharp right out of the box and the handle scales feel good in the hand.I ordered the Pantera to compliment my Lynx, wanting a smaller, nimble blade under 4 inches. I’m not sure if the incorrect sheath is a dealbreaker for me or if I can live with the fit issue. Can the correct sheath, as listed, be sent to me? I really wanted a more secure sheath and the images in the Amazon listing showed a snap that would secure the knife in the sheath, rather than relying on friction.
