Isn't the item I received and I wanted the one pictured so it could not roll off my desk. The one I received works but is round and must sit upright which allows graphite to come out onto my desk. I needed one so I kept it, buyer beware.

This is the perfect sharpener for my 5.6 mm clutch pencils. I had one before and lost it during a move. I’m so glad I finally found a replacement. To the customer who said that it wouldn’t sharpen his pencil to a fine point isn’t pushing hard enough. Or the customer who said that the blades wore down; you do need to apply a little elbow grease if you wanna sharper lead with the sharpener. Too many negative reviews for too many lousy reasons. I have a Koh-i-Noor Mechanical Hardtmuth Lead Holder and I find this lead holder and this E+m sharpener to be the perfect solution for my needs.

Works well for 5.6mm leads

This looks like die. It is as big as die but it is very messy and mine went dull very quickly

The E+M products I've tried, including this sharpener and one of their 5.6 mm clutch holders were not very good. The E+M holder would allow the lead to slide into the barrel as you were using it (weak clutch confirmed by the seller). In my experience, the Koh-i-noor metal-body holders are much, much better. This sharpener also seemed cheap and didn't work that well. All design, no performance.
