Lykke Driftwood Circular Knitting Needles 40 inch - Size 4

There is nothing bad to say about Lykke needles! I am thrilled to be able to use them and able to find them on Amazon when it’s difficult to find them in many stores around here.

I tried a pair of Lykke circular needles a year ago. I liked them so much I ordered a set. When the pattern I used called for a US#3 circular needle I realized I didn't have that circular needle in my set. I ordered the needles and I am very pleased with them. I really like that yarn doesn't slip off the needles like other systems I've tried. The cord is long enough and is uncurling as my project gets wider.

I cast on a pair of toe up socks and it splintered almost immediately. I'm so disappointed, I was really looking forward to using these needles. I will stick with my addi turbos.

These Lykke driftwood needles are the best. I've switched to using only Lykke driftwoods! Very smooth wood needles, enough slip for easy knitting (easier than bamboo) but not too much (metal needles are too slippery for me). The cable is also great quality, very bendable and straightens out reasonably with enough stitches on the cable. The needles are also very clearly labeled with the size at the base of the needles with labels that won't come off, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend these needles.

I am knitting a very complicated afghan, and I started it with a bamboo needle. I found it very awkward to work with, so I purchased this one. It's fabulous! Stitches slide smoothly! I purchased the straight needles as well for a future project.

Lykke needles are my favorites. If you like using Dreamz by Knitter's Pride, you'll enjoy these. They are a nice middle ground between the slickness of metal and the grabbiness of bamboo so I feel like I can use these with a wider range of fiber types.

I thought 3mm (US 2.5) would be sturdy enough for the birch these needles are made of. I was wrong. The needle snapped in half the first time I used them. I was only a few rows in on the brim of a hat. I'm not a tremendously tight knitter, but I do tend to bend the smaller sized bamboo needles overtime. If you put any kind of pressure on your needles don't get these in anything smaller than a US 4. Very disappointing, as I liked the feel of them for color work.

These are my favorite needles! Excellent joins, smooth wood, flexible cable.
