Riverside's products are designed and constructed for use in the home and are generally not intended for rental, commercial, institutional or other applications not considered to be household usage. Riverside uses furniture construction techniques and select materials to provide quality, durability, and value in their products. The construction of Riverside’s core product line consists of a combination of cabinetmaker hardwood solids and hand-selected veneers applied over medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for surfaces that require stability against the varying environmental conditions in modern homes. You'll appreciate the multiple-step application of Riverside's furniture finishes. Their finishing processes involve several steps of hand sanding, applications of several types of finishing coats, padding and polishing.Features:Finish: Burnished BrownstoneDistress Level: LightMaterials: Constructed of Acacia hardwood solidFive fixed shelvesTip restraining hardwareWe apologize that this item is currently not available to ship to the State of California.Specifications:Overall product dimensions: 72" H x 24.75" W x 16" D; Weight: 37 lbs.

OK, if you're not expecting too much
First off, this shelf unit is not fine furniture. If you know that going in, you shouldn't be disappointed. Assembly was pretty simple and the fit was good. Because the finish is supposed to be "burnished", the various nicks and scratches found on the item are acceptable. I purchased two units and both had some relatively minor defects but, as they are sitting in my den with some relatively rustic furniture, these are acceptable. The color matches pretty well with my medium oak mission tv stand. One thing I do not care for is the fact that the uprights are not made from a single piece of wood. Instead, there are two "finger joints" on each of the uprights. These were not evident in the on-line photos. They are solid wood; just not from one single piece. All in all, a decent purchase at a decent price. They'll do. Oh yeah, one more thing - the black plastic plugs to cover the screw holes are pretty cheesy and don't really fit that well. We'll see if I even bother using them - or maybe I'll pick up some wooden plugs.
