What Every Older Person Should Know
It was a real eye-opener to me to learn about the relationship between osteoarthritis and bone spurs...that they can occur in almost any joint in your body, and that both conditions are an unfortunate result of aging. This book gives basic, easy to understand information about the causes of bone spurs and more detailed commentary on what options are available to the patient. I don't think many physicians are very well-versed in causes and treatment of the condition, as I have osteoarthritis of the lumbar spine and a history of back surgery (discectomy) but the possibility of bone spur at the surgery site was never mentioned to me. This book would help physicians improve their clinical knowledge and enable them to better help their patients.
