Better than the original Plus
I used to handle boxes about 30 hours a week. I've tried The original, Utility, Grip, Vent, Fast Fit and I'd destroy them all so fast. Then Mechanix came out with Original Plus, which would last much longer. I'd buy them 3 times a year. These days I only handle boxes about 20 hrs a week, and these lasted me just about 9 months. So yes, these are my longest lasting Mechanix gloves, yet (I wouldn't try the leather ones, my hands need some ventilation). I've written to Mechanix that Box Handlers need a hybrid of High Abrasion, Grip and Vent. That would be the ideal gloves!I would imagine these gloves would last a while for an average DIY users at home, if they could last 9 months of abuse at work. I personally just use the Original at home, and a pair of Utility when I'm out taking pictures in the cold (leather gloves are too bulky) . I wouldn't recommend these if you have to work with small items all the time.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Below was my old review of the Original "Plus". It ended up here because Mechanix replaced "Plus" with "High Abrasion".Right off the bat, this particular model is NOT the newer version of "original Plus". The picture will lead you to think so. The actual product is the old "Plus" in red (as of Dec 2009).That out of the way, the added reinforcements do make the gloves last longer. This is my third pair in a year. I use them in a warehouse for picking up boxes, about 30 hours a week. I'll start seeing holes in about a month, before I completely destroy them in about 3 to 4 month. I can't stand cotton gloves, the utility and original would only last me 2 weeks and a month, respectively.I'm still waiting for the newer version of "Plus". Right now (Dec 2009) they only have sizes small and X-Large.UPDATE - March 5, 2010:The gloves listed are the NEW and improved Original Plus. I just got mine today (3/5/2010). The only difference (between the picture and the actual product) is the material between the fingers are red, while the rest are black. Much better than the all red of the previous model, IMO. The added "diamond" grip don;t really improve grip, IMO.

Great for UPS workers.
I work for a UPS, sorting/unloading/loading boxes 4-5 hours a day 5 days a week. These gloves have lasted me 3 weeks so far with minimal wear, the finger tips are a little worn but that's to be expected from the amount of gripping I do with the tips.Pros:Overall great glove, comfortable. Purchased the XL sized(6'4 male with fairly average size hands)Decent padding on the fingers/knuckles enough that lighter smacks, hits won't hurt you.Neutral:It is a bit warm good enough I was able to wear them in around 30 degree (F) weather.Con:There may not be enough venting to keep hands cool in hot/warm weather. I would recommend maybe adding a little more venting to the glove for high temperature workplaces. The grip on the gloves drops off as it wears, enough that I dropped a few boxes because of it.It looks like they will last me another 3-4 weeks. I bought two pairs well worth the price (paid around $16 a pair).

Long life
I do a lot of work with my hands and I use a lot of different types and brands of gloves. I have been a big fan of the original Mechanix gloves for years, but I only get about 6 months out of them before I start wearing holes in the fingers. These High Abrasion gloves, however, last much longer. I bought these to replace another pair of High Abrasion gloves I have been using for 2 or 3 years, thinking the old gloves were at the end of their life. But the old gloves and still hanging in there, and the new pair are in my tool box waiting for the day when the old gloves finally give out. If you work with your hands, you should have a pair of these gloves. They are excellent.

Great comfort with decent durability.
I work in a brewery where a good pair of gloves is essential. Work well with good comfort and style. I often work with the gloves wet and they seem to hold up to that extra stress. Comfortable glove for an ok price.

Great Product, Small Sizes
I have larger than average size hands, but by no means huge. I decided to play it safe and get the Extra Large for myself, and I bought a few other pairs as gifts. These gloves are great, with some minor annoyances. I have spent the past few days working on my cars all day long, and my hands still feel great: I'm no aching or scraped or even that dirty! However, the sizes come very small compared to what one would suspect, which causes the glove to not completely cover the hand. Also, the strap has a tendency to come loose while spinning bolts, its very easy to scrape it against your tool or equipment and knock it lose.Over all a great product, and I will purchase again (just in a bigger size!)

OK all-around gloves, not super durable as I though
Looking for a durable glove for my move and IKEA furniture building. I like the tips are further reinforced, but they started to fray after a couple of moving runs. I was disappointed that these weren't more durable to last just a few moves. I find that the cuff ends a little short on my wrist and also get confused by the velcro tab which is opposite of what I'm used to in gloves. They are abrasion resistant and any junk on the gloves is vacuumed off pretty easily with a brush head. I think I'd get more padded gloves for the moving and framer's gloves for the IKEA building. You have to have the right tool for the job...

Great for NASCAR tire changers
These gloves hold up vary well compared to other gloves. They hold up well and last. Every day I use these gloves against grip tape basically sand paper. I love that these gloves also work with touch screen phones. I recommend these gloves to anyone who needs to have maximum mobility in there hands. The last pay lasted for 6 months. Well worth the money.

Perfect for package handling
I am a package handler and this is the first glove that I have been able to find (after many trials) that will not blow out at the seams. In fact, I wore a hole through the pad of one of the fingers before the stitching gave out. All other gloves have out after about two weeks of my abuse, and this one lasted me for 11 weeks. Very big difference and I will continue to buy it again.

Much better
Lasted much longer then the originals. I found I blew out the fingers in the OGs pretty quick. These definitely help them last a bit longer. Nice and light for summer wear as well

Gloves are great for what a needed them for
Gloves are great for what a needed them for, they have a motocross look to them which is an added bonus, and people always comment and ask where I got them from. I use them for my job, warehouse operative. But have also used them when paintballing and gardening for my grandad on his allotment. They don't have a hole in them yet and can see them being with me for a very long time.

Product not what appears in photo
Ordered these gloves but did not receive the same gloves in the photo.Gloves received were a much cheaper version with elastic cuff and no Velcro wrist closure.
