VANGUARDQS-52 Large Format Quick Shoe with 1/4" Mounting Screw Compatible with Some Alta+ Series Tripods

We have three Alta Pro vanguard tripods as a family. My sons borrowed my camera to do a music video and took my mounting plate back to Chicago. I didn’t discover this until I was just about to start filming a project we set up for over two hours! It was really hard to figure out which plate I needed and I didn’t want to make a mistake. So I went onto another website to absolutely confirm that I had the right model number. This fits the Alta Pro 263AT Which is not a model number easily found on Amazon or anywhere else online. Also the measurements listed here are wrong. This is not 1” wide. It’s just under 2” wide and narrow (rectangle not square) I bought two and it fit perfectly I was so happy.

I use this for mounting a tripod binocular mount for wildlife observation. Well made.

I lost the original part and had to find something to replace it. Buy two and it fits my Alta + 263AP tripod. Works exactly as it should.

Fits a little snug but gets the job done. A life saver after I lost my original head for my Vanguard Alta+ 264AP

I purchased the QS-52 Quick Shoe in order to add them to sonme extended telephoto lenses for my DSLR camera, to enable quick change from lens to lens on the camera where the lens are too long and heavy to have onhly the support of the camera at the tripod (balance point way off) and fitting on lens is at midpoint of lens. This seems to work okay but the connection between the QS-51 and QS-52 does not seem to be quitre as secure as the pure connection QS-51 to QS-51 hook-up. Eventually I will probably try to find matched sets both both camera and tripod.
