Bought this for my EDC kit and its perfect and of course the color is great.

You never know when you are going to find yourself at a fast food restaurant, starving, yet feeling conflicted about the handful of plastic forks and straws they are thrusting at you when you just reaffirmed your commitment to the environment. Or possibly the plastic fork they gave you broke a tine on the first bite. Or in my case, at work there is nothing on offer but plastic cutlery which is ridiculously wasteful, not to mention hazardous to the environment and we're going to pay for our use of plastics until the end of time. Keep a spork and a straw with you and you can keep your commitment to the earth. Seriously, I am just one person, and my plastic use is fairly low, but if I can avoid using one-use plastics and everyone I know can avoid them as well, perhaps this will all become the new normal. Everyone will have a spork on hand at all times, and hardly anyone will even use a straw but when they do it will be this one and perhaps the world will be a better place.But why this spork? There's a lot of them out there, I used to have a bamboo set (lost in a move). I recommend the particular spork because it is lightweight, easy to clean, has a serrated edge for cutting things, and the tines will actually stab into your food, enabling you to get it to your mouth. As far as the straw, I like that it isn't really long, but a much more manageable size. It is not round, but oval shaped, which actually fits my mouth better. Dishwasher safe, easy to keep clean. Get one for everyone in your family so you're not the only one with utensils when you need them. Highly recommended.

This set contains all you need for silverware on the road or trail. The spork measures just under 7” long and is 1.5” wide. The straw is the same length and 0.5” wide, flattened oval in shape instead of round to give it extra strength. The straw has a flattened section on one end for holding with your fingers. Together, the spork and straw weigh under 4 oz. The set was made in Sweden.I really like this spork, since it is easy to carry in my daypack for any eating needs, whether in town or on the trail. The straw is also useful since many areas are outlawing single use plastic straws. Unfortunately, this straw doesn’t come with a cleaning brush, so I wouldn’t use it for anything but clear fluids. No milk shakes or thick smoothies with this straw. The spork is great for picnics, food trucks, and camping adventures. Overall, this is a durable set of reusable plasticware, although the straw is best suited for only clear fluids.

Great colors and feel. Except, half of the knife edge (of the fork) broke off after my second time using it. So it’s not at all strong. No other issues than that.

Light My Fire Spork n'Straw BIO kit is another high quality, inventive product from a European company that knows how to design and recycle.All of the Light My Fire products that I have owned so far have been made of recycled products, which I think is admirable. This is also made of recycled material and is of high quality plastic, that is flexible but sturdy. The Spork is great. The serrated edge cuts vegetables well-I used this for salads. The spork is great and this can either be washed by hand or in your washer (I did both) Primarily I used this in my lunch for work. The straw is good, but keep in mind it seems to be for small cups. It is designed to be used with the Light My Fire collapsable cup. It is not long enough for an average adult drink so keep that in mind when purchasing. However, if you have a child, the straw would be good for a child because it is the perfect size for a kiddie cup. Again, it is the same high quality as the Spork which is why I still give this five stars.This company is wonderful and the products you get from them last and last.

Good to bring along for camping, but the straw is kinda hard to clean in the outdoors.

How can anyone NOT find a spork to be an essential to carry on a day outing or a long trip? We've had a few for years, all made by Light My Fire, a couple of grown-up sporks with knife serrations and a couple of kid-size sporks without the serrations. They are much sturdier than the plastic utensils at delis, and better for the environment, too. They are TSA compliant; we always take them on long trips. We need them at our destinations for use at picnics and with fast food. The straw in this kit is new to me. Before the kit arrived, I wondered if it would be long enough for a soda can. Whew! It is 6-3/4" long and works just fine in 12 oz. cans and medium to large cups. It's oval shaped so it won't roll around, a nice touch. Very glad to have this!

The photo attached is the Bio (the broken one) and the titanium spork.I purchase both this year as i only use sporks to eat with. Both work really well and are easy to clean and carry around. The BIo one just broke. I only hand wash so its not been subjected to any heat so its really disappointing.So 5 stars for function but 0 stars for durability.
