Marilyn Brush Double S Pro Hair Brush, 2 1/2 Inch

I have incredibly fine hair that has a mind of its own. It becomes frizzy if it air drys, it frizzes if the humidity is above 1%. (I live in South Carolina!) This styling brush has saved me. It smooths out my hair while boosting the volume without sticky styling products. I 100% recommend it!

I was looking for a round brush and was considering a tourmaline barrel type with plastic bristles for general smoothing and straightening. A hairdresser friend strongly advised a boar bristle round brush - specifically the Marilyn brand. I have medium textured hair. It's moderately wavy, though I have a lot of it (it looks thick but really isn't). It's about 3 inches below my shoulders. Anyways - this brush totally exceeded my expectations. The boar bristles grip really, really well. If you have thin or medium hair, this is the way to go. You hardly have to pull at all because the bristles are doing all the work for you. One of the best parts of this brush is the handle. It's cushioned and the way it connects to the brush head doesn't cause any snagging or pulling. Seriously. Like no snagging at all. Every single other round brush I've used has some snagging between the brush handle and the brush head. Not this one.One thing to be aware of: the brush will definitely shed a little when you first open the package. I just ran my hands over it a bunch of times over the sink to try and get the loose bristles out. It wasn't a ton - the brush remained full and in good condition. It's just something to be aware of. Also - if you are expecting this brush to dry your hair like a tourmaline or ceramic brush, it won't. It's for styling and smoothing your hair when it's about 80% dry.

Mine broke at 5 weeks so I couldn’t return it

I had one of these brushes a long time ago. I loved it but I was wearing my naturally curly hair. I used my sisters brush and remembered how I liked it for blowing hair out. Great brush.

I like this brush but didn’t give it 5 stars because I have another one that has stiffer bristles and like that much better.

I love the Marilyn brushes, as a stylist they are the only ones I use. However these newer ones tend to have shorter bristles than the originals. I prefer the longer bristles.

Had this brush for many years and was glad I could still find it online. My old one is still in great shape but wanted a backup. Great for blowouts.

Love my new Marilyn Brush. I've had a Marilyn brush for about 10 years so although it held up well, it was time for a new one. I have medium to long naturally curly hair and as l I blow dry my hair, I can wrap my hair around the brush for a smooth, straight style without my hair getting all tangled up. There is no tangling or pulling and the boar bristles help your hair to come out smooth and shiny. The grip handle is very comfortable. This brush makes hair easy to style.
