The Needlecraft Book Paperback – December 17, 2012

I originally got this book from the library, not with much expectations, as I almost exclusively knit. HOWEVER, what a pleasant surprise! There were techniques and terrific pictures of things that I was not quite sure of in the knitting department. Has great crochet techniques, which I plan on incorporated into my knitting projects, and embroidery stitches to be used as embellishments for my projects. All in all, I found every part of the needlecrafting instructions to be useful to me in some way, shape, or form. A great book!

If this book does not have instruction, I don’t think you’ll find it anywhere. This is a very comprehensive book for people, who knit, crochet, appliqué, do needlepoint, do just about any needlecraft Harvey out there. I have been crocheting for years, and I learned so much more from the book. It is a great value for the money and you may never need another instruction guide. I highly recommend it.

I've seen hundreds if not k's of needlework books. Never have I came across a book with such plainly written instructions. The photos are BIG and materials involved are all different colors....ie: 2 yarns...2colors. Iam an advanced quilter too and this book could make you one too. If quilting is not your thing, try any of them because this book is awesome.

While I have been doing needle point for many years I still found this book helpful. It is loaded with a great deal of information and the illustrations are very good. There are a lot of little secrets provided. Definitely worth the price. An excellent book for the beginner to learn from and reference.

This book covers every imaginable needlework craft! It is an excellent resource that every needleworker should have in their library. The sections (one for each craft) are color coded on the page edges, so they are easy to find. Color pictures make the descriptions and instructions easy to understand. You can actually learn a new needlework craft from this book.

I love this book, the pictures are amazing! I'm a visual learner, it helps particularly when knitting to have something to reference when working on new stitches. In particular I love that the knit patterns are presented in both chart and written form. It is something that I need to work on :)The other sections seem really great too, though my focus has been reading through the knitting section for now :)

Excellent book. Borrowed it first from library, and within 3 days, I bought my own copy. I've been knitting and sewing for more than 47 years (started at about 7yo) I'm always happy to try something new and this book will help pass on the knowledge to Granddaughters, with its brilliant coloured pictures and clear instructions. Having just retired and foolishly not only believing that I would have oodles of spare time but also that the ability my younger self had with all things needle-work would still be there, it wasn't long before I discovered the truth. I had forgotten everything I ever knew, or so it seemed.Searching the bookshelves I discovered a plethora of material to draw on, and purchased several. This one, however,has become my constant reference. Illustrations are clear and informative, as are instructions. The page lay-out is pleasing and user friendly, while the different sections are beautifully easy to navigate and to find exactly what you want.Yes, I do love this extremely coherent guide and highly recommend it. It is a pleasure to use.

Excellent content and pictures to explain how to master specific stitches. Lots of examples for projects. A must have for anyone in to Needlecraft projects, just learning or a moderate skill.

This is a great book to keep for reference and tells you all the basics you need to know about most of the needlecrafts. DK books are fab - lots of step by step info and photos.Would recommend to novice and more advanced sewers.
