I recently went to my friend's wedding and wanted to make sure my cat was okay for the day and a half that we were gone, so I bought this. I had a great time talking to her and playing laser tag, and it gave me such peace of mind! We moved into a new house, so the cat stayed in her room most of the time until she was more acclimated. It's great I can check up on her without disturbing her. I put the camera in the corner to make it easier to use the laser pointer. The picture quality is good, the application is easy to use, and there are many functions.

REVISION: Turns out the laser does work. After posting a question on Amazon I got a reply explaining that it can only be activated by pushing a yellow button on the back of the camera (this is nowhere in the instructions). The good news is that it "works" but the bad one is that it kinda sucks.Unlike Petcube's laser feature, this laser is blurry (its a shapeless blur instead of a spot), you can't turn it on or off remotely from the app and you can't move the laser without also moving the camera. This is very bad for several reasons: (1) the movement is slow and stiff (not really good enough to entertain your cats), (2) forget about recording the fun and be prepared because you're up for quite a "dizzying" experience as your image will be in constant movement and you won't get to see much of what might be going on, and (3) you have to choose (ahead of time) whether you'll leave the laser on or off... if you leave it off you won't be able to play with them, if you leave it on, then you may end up overstimulating your pet every time you move the camera looking for them.Still don't know how to set it up with Alexa, still no support (seems like the only way to interact with them is via posting questions on Amazon), I'm adding one star to my rating but I still wouldn't recommend to buy this model.ORIGNA POSTL: I chose this camera to monitor and play with my cats as I travel quite a lot for work. Its absolutely unacceptable that some of the main features advertised in the Amazon Ad are simply non-existent or non-functioning. The device does seem to have a laser built in but there is no way to activate it or control it from the app (event after updating to the latest firmware); I tried looking for a website for instructions or some kind of support and it is simply non-existent (try googling this model and its simply no where to be found) and the manufacturer videos accesible from the app don't show any laser functionality available. The Alexa features are also not there. I feel scammed and I would definitely advise not to buy this camera.

I bought this so we can check on the cat when we go out of town or if I’m bored at work and want to play with the cat. Setting it up was a nightmare- it wouldn’t connect with the WiFi, the speaker would only echo back through the phone. The laser only works if you turn it on using the button on the device itself. You cannot turn it on and off through the app. This was the entire reason why I wanted this camera in the first place. The camera was great but I need more than just a camera.

The product will activate and the laser works on set up. Since then no laser. Read the directions and didn’t see a mention about how to turn on the laser light. Sent a email to the company directly and no response. Read the questions and it states to hit the yellow button but that only seems to reset my camera. Don’t buy if the lasers important

This camera took about 30 minutes of trial and error before it would work. And then, it said to register so as not to lose the password. But after about 10 tries, it still would not let me register. So after leaving for Florida, the second time I tried it, the password was gone and now no camera. It would not let me in to see at all. Much cheaper cameras I have are way better. Also, the pet laser was there, but the app had no way to activate it. I requested instructions from the seller, but got no response. This one is going back. Not good at all.

There's no way to turn the laser on or off on the app. You have to manually push the button on the camera. This is just a nanny cam with a laser pointer they glued on. Returning asap

The device got significantly smaller, lighter and has much slicker design. It now uses full potential of its camera: in addition to live HD video stream it also has motion and sound detection, night vision,Video and audio quality is amazing and it takes for the app just couple of seconds to connect.The laser also behaves significantly better, it will activate automatically when the camera senses movement and will play with your pet automatically. Now because random laser movements are managed by the device itself and there is no network lagging involved, he moves are very precise and smooth and got my cats into play several times.

False Advertising. This thing does not work as advertised. The laser has to be turned on manually which totally defeats the point of this thing.This is clearly a baby monitor that was rehoused into a shell with a button triggered laser pointer, and the app reflects this. Also LOL at the bedtime stories, the speaker emits unintelligible Spanish.
