Affordable Sailor
I got into fountain pens in a big way during the pandemic (pendemic) adding 20 pens to my collection of four in about a year. I wasn't familiar with Sailors before 2020, but found myself drawn to the simple but elegant lines and Sailor style. My gateway Sailor was a mini, and I fell in love. The flip side: with most Sailors selling for a few hundred dollars each, acquiring them can get very expensive very fast. The Lecoule costs about 1/10 the amount of other Sailors yet offers the same good looks and comfort. Although Sailor nibs can be temperamental, my Lecoule MF writes smoothly, with no scratchiness at all. And the translucent rose quartz shade is beautiful to behold. A great addition to the collection.

Good, unpretentious and immensely affordable "everyday" pen
Nice pen, writes well, comfortable in a purse - bought it for my wife as a "bottom of the purse" pen, and it survived unscathed many a serious beating there. The only drawback - it does NOT use common cartridges/reservoirs, only the proprietary ones which affects both convenience and price. Still - a surprisingly well made and we'll functioning fountain pen

Go on, get it!
This is not advertised as or considered by the fountain pen community to be a pocket pen as some have said here. It is the same size as the Sailor Pro Gear Slim, its much more expensive sibling. Its steel nib's performance also compares favorably to that of the gold nib on the Pro Gear, and may even be a bit smoother; it's just not as ornate. Likewise, the quality of the two pens' body material and workmanship. See more details on this in the pengadget321 YouTube video comparing the two pens in depth. I am very happy with my purchase and enjoying writing with this pen more than with many of my others. It's a smooth, reliable, and comfortable writer. I also find it quite beautiful. It has a simple yet striking elegance. Love the color, love everything about it. No problems, no complaints, no dislikes, no cons. If you are considering it, I say get it. You won't be sorry.

A very nice fountain pen.
It's a beautiful pen, writes smooth when wet. Screw cap which I love. Light and easy on the hand. It comes with 2 ink cartridges It doesn't come with converter, in which it should for the price. But overall a very good pen to add to your collection.

No box, but nice pen
This is a good pen for a beginner collecting fountain pens. It writes very smooth and the nib is the perfect thinness to my liking. It doesn't feel scratchy on the paper but it's thin enough where I feel like my handwriting is consistent with my favorite gel pens. It takes the typical pilot converter for inks so I can use what's in my collection and not worry about cartridges. I am a little disappointed the pen did not come with the box as advertised in the pictures

First Sailor - lovely pen
A friend recommended Sailor nibs for tactile feedback. This pen is an excellent introduction and I enjoy writing with it. Fair warning that it’s Medium Fine rather than Fine.

Sailor L'écoule rose quartz fountain pen.
Really like this pen. Writes smoothly and better than a couple of other Sailor pens I have. Great color. I want to get rose quartz ink to use with it. I basically got it because of it's geological reference to quartz rock. My grandfather was a rock hound.

Very disappointed in nib. Fine?? This is more like broad.
This is listed as a fine nib. Alas....this nib states it is a medium fine. Really disappointed that I spent money on something that didn't lay true to what was advertised....a fine tip. Other than that one part, it is a fantastic pen. It's beautiful, feels good in the hand and very smooth. Wish I had gotten a TWSBI instead with the money I spent. 😑
