This book covers absolutely everything to do with bonefishing. From (history) the first few fly caught fish to the very latest in gear, techniques, diet, behavior, scientific info, gear and of course, how to catch them and what to do when you hook one.Great photography is just the cherry on top of a beutifully written book that I cannot put down. Just makes you want to go out and stare at the fly rod.Good on ya Dick!

Dick Brown's book is a real good one, but the best comprehensive text for the avid angler hunting bones is the one written by Chico and contributing author, Aaron Adams. Dick Brown's book is an excellent addition that also covers alot, but in less depth than Chico's book. Still a real valuble and worthwhile addition to your library.

bought this as a gift, he loved it. This author is well known and I basically bought this book because my father who is a very avid fisherman wanted it. He has loved it and it sounds like this author is well known in the fly fishing world. Great price of course.

I can take this right to the saltwater with me. It even has information on regional areas around the world as to what o expect in each location.

Great information, especially on ambushing tactics and stats with feeding behaviour.Very bad linking of pictures to text, due to oldfashioned buildup of document. This should really be revised. Nowadays you can easily place the info or name of a fly right next to a picture of it, now I have to go back and forth through the book to link picture & description......Overall I am not disappointed.

An excellent book that covers all aspects of equipping for, planning, spotting and catching bonefish.Extremely detailed, yet easy to read. If you are a beginner it will certainly set you up prior to your first trip. Even veterans will find this book interesting with the level of information given.However, you can't help thinking it's a book written by an American for Americans. Presumably due to politics, Cuba is not mentioned amongst the list of places to go. A glaring omission considering it's status as a leading Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon destination.Otherwise this book comes highly recommended.
