The Nine Lives of Pinrut the Turnip Boy

im 12 and i renember reading this book wen i was in 1-3rd grade (btw im in 6th rn lol) i grew up with the books that reg down wrot and i wold like to say ty for writing thees books

My six year old twins love this book. Especially when Pinrut came to our city-Portland!I especially enjoy reading for the parts that keep the adults engaged.

We have loved all Reg Down's previous books, and read them all at least 6 times now. Unfortunately, Pinrut did not ring true for us. Won't stop us from trying his other books though, and new ones that come out in the future. Reg Down has a fabulous imagination and we love him as a story teller.

Our family has been reading Reg Down's books since my girls were little. However, children do grow up and outgrow stories, no matter how great they may be. I was so happy to see that he branched out to write for older children and was beyond excited to find this collection of short stories, perfect for my 8th grader's (short story) homeschool lessons. We had a blast reading them together. Thank you Reg Down for all the treasured memories!

My 6 yr old loves this book and hasn't put it down since she received it as a gift! She is an advanced reader (1st grader reading at a 3rd grade level) and it can be hard to find books that are age appropriate but advanced enough to challenge her and keep her interested in reading. She loves all of Reg Down's books and this is no exception. Great story that is entertaining to children and adults!
