Released in 1990 at the time of his serious live tour,this was a period where Phil collins could seemingly do no wrong.Certainly the tracks included represent the then current album and firm Phil collins' favourites too.The performance is delivered with passion and gusto from the horn section and band as a whole.But the down side to this live CD is the sound quality and the general muffledness of the whole concert experience.i turned up the volume several times but the clarity didn't improve much.It's like the sound threatening to break through the speakers but never achieving it.somewhere in there is a great live album.Come on you record company people;surely we deserve a deluxe,re-mastered package stuffed with extras - it's long overdue you know.Review updated 26/10/19:Regarding the comments in my original review documented above; I would like to think that my hopes and prayers have been answered by record company executives at Atlantic/Warner music.I raised concerns about the original sub standard release and overall presentation.Well,This 2019 re-issue of Serious hits live by Phil Collins,IS presented in; album style digi-pak,fold out poster style inner sleeve - with new colour photos and credits and vastly improved sound quality,due to excellent re-mastering by the appropriate studio engineers - definitely enhances the whole listening experience.no extra tracks included on this package,but that's only a minor gripe of mine - honest!I am very pleased indeed with this updated purchase of Serious hits live and (now) highly recommend it.Did you record company people actually read my original review,leading to this much improved 2019 re-issue? - or maybe I'm just an old romantic (ha ha).many thanks all the same.P.s. I'm now promoting SHL by PH - to a convincing five star rating!!

Phil Collins best music

I am not a Phil Collins fan that I don't have his albums, but the singles he had released are catchty and can easily remember to sing on to or on their own and I think his concert captures that.

I have orderedt his CD because I damaged my old one it's just as great as it always was
