I am not sure, but it is a WONDERFUL chopper. I have chopped nuts, even hard solid chocolate, and it cuts like butter. VERY sharp. Also, two blades make half the work. I am glad I bought this. I have used it for over a year and the blades are still sharp. This chopper will last for years!

Q: Is this item dishwasher safe? How far apart are the blades from one another?

The middle of the blades are a little over 1/2". At the far ends of the blades they are about 5/8". They seem to be dishwater safe. Haven't used them that much to tell whether they are durable but seem to be good quality so far.

Q: What are the handles made of?

Plastic, honestly I haven't used it very often, it is extremely sharp, I sliced my finger on it good first thing, now I'm kind of scared of it.
