LENT EVERYWHERE!! PILLS!!
Not worth it. This is not the same quality of Vellux WestPoint from the past. It is supposed to be “anti-pill” on both sides but it particularly pilled apart all of my bed. So disappointed after telling others about this brand. In the pictures it’s hard to see but give it a try maybe you will get a good one. I have lent all over the place I’ll have to deal with later when I get home from work.

Nice but not winter weight Vellux
Since our much used original tagged WestPoint vellux blankets fell apart from too many washings, I was excited to see this vellux blanket by the same company here on Amazon & ordered the full size in tornado grey. On arrival I noticed immediately it is not the same nylon velour vellux which was hotel style & kept us warm all winter ; it is a nice quality thin plush microfiber type, not even the thickness of a plush velour throw blanket for warmth. I read the reviews for the Original Vellux blanket here later, but because there are so many customers complaining about the persistent chemical odor despite washings, I am going to try a plush velour full size throw for our bed & hope it will be comfortable enough without overheating us for cold weather sleeping. It's a shame to say goodbye to that lovely foam padded velour vellux style we will miss it, I think the popularity of microfiber & microfleece blankets has affected the bedding industry who used to offer the nylon vellux by many different companies. Buy two of these for your bed or you will need an extra blanket to keep warm, at least in the northern states.

A Happy Accident. ❤️
This blanket was a happy accident for us. We had been using the blanket on top of us while we sleep at night in winter. One morning my husband needed to take a nap and I was washing all of the bedding so he felt he wouldn’t be able to take his nap. However, I had just put this blanket on the bed to try and when I decided to wash the bedding it didn’t need to be washed yet so instead of putting new sheets on the bed I put this blanket down like a fitted sheet. The Happy accident part was even though we use flannel sheets in Winter and when we crawl into our bed it always felt cold. But, with this blanket on the bottom like a fitted sheet the bed did not feel cold when we first got into bed so we didn’t get the shock of crawling into a cold bed. This has been working so well for us that now instead of using it on top of us we now use it like a fitted sheet every winter so we don’t get the shock of chills when we first crawl into bed it relaxes us much quicker and makes it so we can fall asleep much faster. We love this blanket. If you hate the shock of crawling into a cold bed try this what have you got to lose.*** We have a Queen size bed but, bought a King size blanket to tuck the extra under the mattress to keep it in place. Stay warm! 🎄

Warm and Soft without Weight
This is not the plush velour blanket like you see in some hotels, we have had those too, but this is a thinner and lighter weight version. It is perfect here in Maine as a top blanket if you like your room warmer or as a layer under a heavy quilt. Our electricity went out the other night for 15 hours and this blanket with two other light weight ones kept us warm at 58 degrees F. W have not had it long enough to know about durability, but it has already had our 137 pound pup on it and no damage from toes. Overall we are pleased with it and would/will certainly purchase another one in the future.

Take the description's "light-weight" seriously, it really is a summer blanket.
THIS IS A SUMMER BLANKET. NOT LIKE MY PAST VELLUX FLEECE BLANKET PURCHASES. Last year I bought Vellux blankets that looked like these, but were twice as thick and twice as warm. I want those, they are perfect. I use 1 of those prior blankets to sleep, 2 when the house is 50'F at night. These require 2 to 3 blankets to do the same job as last years 1 fleece blanket. I thought light weight meant lighter than cotton for the same thermal resistance, but in this case it means means much thinner. Winter White arrived as more yellowish off-white than actual real 100 year old Ivory.

Excellent
Love this Vellux fleece blanket. I have a queen in this material in cream, have been hunting for the exact material for a sofa throw. Found it! I love the tornado gray color, a very deep, dark gray. Won't show the dirt. I love both blankets for their light weight quality, perfect blanket for a little warmth, but not a heavy fleece or sherpa. The twin size is perfect for the sofa, I can wrap up from my feet to my head. I washed it upon arrival, and it is very soft. The material has a texture, it is not smooth, but I did not have any pilling, and very little fuzz in the dryer trap. Going to get another for a second sofa throw. I love this blanket on my bed also, it is the perfect lightweight cover for slighly cool nights. This is not the "foam" material that Vellux makes, just to be clear.

Super soft and cozy
After reading some reviews that weren't so favorable I opted to take a chance because it was the color I wanted and the price was right. These are fantastic! Even though I knew the measurements, they were far larger than I expected so they are very ample for the twin beds I ordered them for. There was some discussion in the reviews as well about what they were made of - I am thrilled with the texture! They are so cozy and soft. As with all new linens and clothing, I wash them before use and these wash/dry like a charm. I folded and rolled them up like a bolster pillow. I want to order a couple more to have extras on hand.

Less a blanket, more a... sponge?
We thought we were buying a soft, micro fleece, or micro plush blanket to replace the old one what was dropping lint all over everything it touched. Once we opened the package, this blanket was stiff. Like it was made of thin foam. The instructions said it would soften the more it was washed, but right after the first wash, not only was it only slightly less stiff, but it also started dropping lint everywhere. Holes started appearing there was so much fuzz falling out. Found a much softer micro plush at a local TJ-Max for under $30. This blank was crap.

Good summer blanket
This is a lovely light blanket for the summer. Because it is so lightweight, it slides around when making the bed. We purchased a Vellux blanket before but it was a heavier weight & we prefer the way that blanket stays firmly on the bed. Nothing wrong with this blanket, it just wasn’ What we were expecting.

Not the original Vellux
It’s a nice soft blanket but it’s not the traditional Vellux I was looking to purchase. Definitely not as warm and a different material.
