SureFireWriting Pen with Clicking Mechanism

I work as a correctional officer and use this pen daily and have for over a year. I have dropped this pen unfortunately several times on to concrete floors and it has consistently survived. The last drop was from about 10 feet off the second floor! This time it did not work, took a look at it and noticed the pen tip had flattened just enough to not allow the ink cartridge to extend. I bore out the tip and it worked again. However, I contacted Surefire and explained what happened and they sent me a new tip and the click mechanism! I replaced it and worked just like new. They sent this no questions asked and free of charge. This is a lifetime pen and the Surefire customer service is about as good as customer service can get! Aside from how well it feels in hand and the quality of writing, the overall build quality of the pen itself is top notch.

A great pen, and quite weighty. Sometimes billed as a "tactical pen", though I feel it doesn't quite fit that category. It lacks some of the features that other tactical pens often have, such as knurling, sharp points, etc. this is more of a cross between an executive and tactical pen; it looks less out of place in an office setting than true tactical pens.The pen comes with a Schmidt refill, which writes very smooth. However, I replaced it with a Fisher Space Pen refill. When you buy one of these refills in retail packaging (available here on Amazon), it comes with an adapter to allow it to fit Parker pens, which is the same form factor of this Surefire pen. It's just a little plastic extension piece that fits on the end of the refill. The Fisher refill is not as smooth as the Schmidt refill that comes in the pen, but it does allow you to write in any orientation (like upside-down), or on Rite in the Rain paper.

Great, smooth writing pen. Item not as described as picture shows black tip, pocket clip, and tail cap. Arrived in stainless steel instead.

I purchased these as gifts. I have had one for several years. Never lost it. I can feel the moment it is not there. Standard parker refills are cheap.

The pen exceeded my expectations. The click mechanism is smooth and very responsive. The pen writes really well. The pen has withstood several large drops on steel decking. It has proven to be very durable and reliable. I highly recommend this pen.

Pos. Didn't last, pen actually jammed and will not work anymore. Very nice looking just didn't last till the water got hot.

This pen is amazing! I bought it as a gift for my boyfriend and when I received it I thought I'd try it out...it writes so smooth and the pen itself has a really great feel to it. I liked it so much that I'm considering buying an additional one for myself. It is definitely worth the money, you're getting what you pay for!

Should have listened to the reviews. The clip bends and you can't bend it back. I thought I could avoid this by being really careful, but it happened about a month in. You have to send it in to Surefire and they will send it back after they repair it. They sent me a free clip, but I can't do it on my own. I couldn't bend it back no matter what I did. The clicker gets stuck the more you use it. Otherwise a cool pen. Nice, heavy, sturdy feel. Buy at your own risk.
