Coil and spark plug worked well. My saw would not restart when it was hot. Plug looked good, but no spark when attempting restart. Replaced coil and plug and now restarts readily. Install was not trivial, but this was a function of my saw (Stijl 029 super), not the coil. The spark plug lead was longer than needed so had to be cut. The plug boot tore when removing it, so had to reinstall the old boot. Used silicone spray to ease installation.

The part fit just right and it worked good.

When the ignition module / coil died in my Stihl 039 I bought this unit. It is so poorly built that there was no way to adjust the gap between the module and the magnet. Once installed, a business card would not fit between the two; it would go down only about half way because there was hardly any clearance at the bottom on the left side, and no way to move the module back. So I put the saw back together anyway, and although my spark tester light now showed a spark, it wouldn't start; it wouldn't even try. I assume either the spark wasn't hot enough, or the mismounting caused the spark to be mistimed, I'm not sure which. I bought the Stihl coil (pn 0000-400-1300) and the saw started right up. The original Stihl module had lasted over 25 years, and when it failed (the saw would quit when it got hot) I replaced it with a unit made by FarmerTec, and the saw ran great for 8 months. That's when I bought this Hayskill unit and it didn't work at all. These offshore modules appear to be a waste of money.

I use my saws on an everyday basis the coil came quick was easy to install and now my saw runs pretty good again
