Petmate RUFF MAXX KENNEL 19" UP TO 10LBS, Multi

I had to get a new cat holder for my escape-artist cat. If there's a zipper to be seen on the carrier, the cat will get out. So, I had to try something new; this carrier is great! Simple, and to the point. Just what I needed! Easy to assemble. No tools needed.UPDATE: I brought my cat to the vet in the crate, and the cat ruined its claws on the front gate; the cat actually broke her claws off, and was bleeding. I traded in the case for a cardboard crate instead. Bummer!

This is a nice little crate for transporting cats or other small animals. I don't really use the storage on the top so can't say much about that. I like the spring closure and it's easy to open with one hand if I need to. Very easy to assemble. I foster cats so it is important to me that it can be disinfected which the cloth carriers are difficult to clean. In the winter a use a towel to drape over the sides and cut a hole for the handle to slip through. This helps keep them cozy and warmer. If I were more ambitious I would sew another flap for the front and back with velcro or elastic closures. I also leave it out for the cats to explore and leave food in there so that the cats don't associate it with trips to the vet. They will easily go in there for treats.

I used this to take my rabbit to the vet. It worked fine. I wouldn't travel with it as the plastic isn't very robust. I'd also make sure to use the screws that came with it to hold it together. It got the job done for routine pet care.

I bought this as a cat carrier because it was 19 inches and one of the cheaper ones on amazon. It is a sturdy looking kennel and it seems durable but it’s way too small for my cat, as you can see in the pictures. She has to crouch to get in and can’t stand up all the way like she’s supposed to. If you’re buying for a cat I would size up. I’d return it but I tore the tags off already and we really only need it for vet visits.

I use this for my Holland lop. This was easy to put together a d the perfect size for her.

The 19"/10lb carrier was too small for my 10lb cat. I recommend that you size up for comfort, my cat could not stand up and was pressed against the back and front of the carrier. The carrier was okay quality for the cost but molding is pretty poor - latch points for the treat compartments were not molded correctly and would not close, primary clasps to hold the unit together were better but still not very secure. This is functional but not great.

Bought this for our new puppy and I am so excited! Made in the US and it's great quality! I read the reviews about the ventilation holes being sharp, so I grabbed a nail file and fixed that potential problem. This is a really heavy duty carrier and I think it's going to last us for many years to come! I wish there were more colors to choose from, but I'm so happy with the quality that I really can't complain!

I love this carrier for my rabbit, who had chewed through his soft carrier which led me to this one. Being able to remove the top allows us to put my wiggly fur baby into the carrier easily. It’s easy to clean and I like the additional bolts included for if we ever travel by air and they are required by the airline.

The size was great! Seemed durable. The only thing is that I had to return it due to it not coming with a door for it. I received my refund right away as soon as I mailed it back. Great customer service.

I'm not sure why they made the top flaps as they barely hold anything. The overall construction seems okay, but instead of building the flaps they could've built a top opening. Weird design, but my dog enjoys sleeping in here.

Great kennel. Good quality and construction. Loved the colour and door reversibility. Too small for my pup though. Had to exchange it for a larger one.
