Exceeded Expectations Massively
This kit was for my daughter, and we comparison shopped mostly from product reviews, with the finalists being Yeti and the standard Snowball. My daughter assured me that the Snowball was great-to-excellent and that we didn't need to spend the additional money for the Yeti, so in effects she made the final decision. My daughter does voice-over narrations for grass-roots projects (fan fiction). Before the Snowball, she was using the microphone on her Logitech C910, which is primarily for conferencing. After listening to some of her new voice-over work with the Snoball, my jaw was dropping at how professional her voice sounded. When combined with the wind screen, the mic is extremely forgiving, and the background noise is effectively neutralized. She sounds so clear and clean without any clipping or peaks. For example, she has a Youtube video of a famous sequence in the movie "Lady and the Tramp" where Angel's voice has been intentionally removed from the audio to allow for "drop-in" voice-over. When my daughter provides the voice of Angel, the sound is so good and so well modulated that you'd think it was the original Disney voice actor. This is a matter of how the Snowball picks up just the right amount of "breath" sound, it isn't grating at all, it is endearing.I know this isn't professional guidance, but I'm hoping this will give you an idea. The difference from Logitech C910 was just night and day, her voice is suddenly in the "professional" league and I'm certain that with more practice she'll get voice-over work. She has an "unfair" advantage with this setup.

Inexpensive Beginner Blue
I'm really liking this microphone so far. I've used it to record some audio (talking), recorded some singing along with an amplified guitar, which is one of the reason's I bought as most of the other microphones that I have bought in the past have never been able to pick up either my acoustic or amplified electric guitar. So far I haven't experienced any issues with the microphone, however there is one major con:- The microphone is heavyI purchased the bundle that came with the following:- On Stage Stands MS7701 Tripod Boom Microphone Stand- Blue Microphones Ringer Universal Shockmount for Ball MicrophonesWhile the MS7701 Tripod Boom Microphone Stand & the Universal Shockmount fit together perfectly, the combined weight of the Snowball & Shockmount was a little bit to much weight for the stand. I had to overly tighten everything to keep the boom from sagging over time, position the boom arm & tripod legs in a certain way to keep it from tipping as well. The pop filter works as expected however the bendable arm tends to sag over time & could be better constructed. If your buying this as is then then you should really have no issue's with recording anything as I think its good buy.Lastly the headphones (JVC) seemed to work great but I haven't used them as I prefer my Siberia v2 headphones.

Great Mic, Great Headphones, but the Pop Filter is Worthless
The Blue Snowball microphone is excellent! The stand is comes on is slick and stable, the mic looks even more stylish than in the pictures. The sound quality of the microphone is excellent, and it has three different settings that all work as advertised for different types of audio. The microphone is so easy to set up and works flawlessly! I'm loving it.The headphones included in this bundle pack are great. Super comfy, and I've been having a hard time finding headphones that are comfortable, these are a dream come true! The sound quality is great as well.However...I would advise you NOT to buy this particular bundle pack. While the mic and headphones are excellent, the included pop filter is nearly useless for the Snowball's stand. The length of the pop filter's neck is far too long, and the attachment device far too bulky, there's no good way to use the pop filter. You can easily get the Snowball mic and the same headphones for much cheaper than the price of this bundle pack.I will say that this arrived very quickly, was packaged nicely, and everything (aside from the pop filter) works better than advertised. Really excellent bit of audio gear. Just, don't get this bundle, as the pop filter ends up being money wasted.

GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE - DOES THE JOB!
Bought this Blue Microphones Snowball USB Microphone in Brushed Aluminum with Studio Headphones and Pop Filter Microphones Snowball USB Microphone in Brushed Aluminum with Studio Headphones and Pop Filter]] for our son (13yo) for aChristmas gift for him to make youtube video's. He set it up in just a few minutes and has had no issues. The cables are long enough and the clarity is good. The headphones are a good quality and the pop filter does the job. The pop filter does eliminate most of the background noises. All in all for the price this is a good setup for first timers or anyone that makes these video's. We also bought him a 'greenscreen' to block the view(s). It is sold on Amazon , Walmart ect. Yes i do recommend this Microphone.

Great mic if you have are a novice!
I bought the Snowball after reading lots of reviews. I am a novice and this seemed like a good choice based on the reviews. The headphones are great (I am not high-tech nor am I one to drop over $50 on a pair of headphones so these work fine for me). The mic set-up is easy to use and it is easy to record. I have recorded two of my children's books (available on Audible: The Moon People and Lizzy or Liz, Never Elizabeth and the Unbirthday if you'd like to check it out or listen to the sample). I recorded using Audacity, which is a software I've used in the past. I did watch some YouTube videos and read some stuff online to figure out certain features of Audacity to meet ACX (Audible's upload component). Again, I am a novice and this was a GREAT purchase for my needs.
