Probably the best bit kit + ratchet holder on the market
It's a bit strange that Leatherman has no real good options from them to hold the bit kit and ratchet Leatherman accessories, but this neatly solves those issues. It is a tad fragile but so long as you don't crush it with your body while sleeping or something like that, the plastic belt clip will hold up well

Better than expected
I’ve had this a couple months now and I’m surprised. It holds both cards of bits very securely and they don’t fall out. I am very surprised about the extension holder. There is a magnet in the bottom but I half expected to lose it within a week. The extension has never fallen out even when getting snagged on something. The plastic clip is very thick plastic so it won’t break but it does pop open once in a while. I always feel it open and close it so I’ve never lost it.

Finally a Surge accessory sheath! Innovative but flawed design...
I do not normally do reviews unless a product is A) Innovative fitting a need that no one else has created and I want people to be confident in purchasing it B) It's a piece of junk to avoid C) The manufacturer should make improvements and the review is an attempt to give them the opportunity. This product is AB&C. I give the product a 4/5 because of the innovation even though I believe it is truly a 3/5 due to it being overpriced and me having to come out of pocket for a $5 clip. I understand when you make something no one else has cloned yet, you get to charge a premium. However the clip makes that argument null and void due to the lack of thought and poor material. Essentially it's like receiving a tank but the cannon is a crossbow...Lets start with the good..1. I have been wanting an accessory holder for my surge for years now. I've had to use pouches which work, but they aren't specialized like this.2. The metal is thick and tough. I have no doubt it'll survive being dropped, kicked, and thrown.3. The finish is really nice. It's not a cheap thin finish you can scratch with your nail. It's thick and textured.4. The magnet holds the extension tight enough for it not to fall out but loose enough to where I can actually pull it out to use it.5. The spring that holds the bit extensions in place is a good stiffness. Not loose, not too tight.6. I wasn't expecting to be able to do so, but I can keep an extra saw and file insert in it with the two bit slides. The bad...1. The clip is designed for thin belts. If use a CWP belt for every day carry and a tool belt for getting stuff done, this product will not work. It isn't designed to thick belts nor a 2inch tool belt.2. The clip is made of the most brittle material I've seen in a long time. I snapped the hook trying to swap the clips with very minimal force. There is absolutely no way it would hold up as edc.Resolution...1. If you don't modify things, run... Don't waste your time ordering it, getting upset, then leaving an unnecessarily overly negative review.2. If you don't mind modify, this thing will become a tank for your edc/tool belt. You will need to purchase a clip. The one I use is normally $10 for a 2 pack which I have used on many knife and magazine holsters. The tools needed are a hack saw or Dremel for cutting down the mounting screws that come with the clip you purchase. You'll also need a drill and I recommend bits intended for metal as the shelth is made of good metal. Fresh titanium bits would work, but expect some dulling. I reused the stud from the original clip because it was useful for indexing and provides a 3rd mount point. Drill that hole out first. Then you can index on it to mark the other two hole locations. Drill those out making them only as large as the mounting hardware requires. Place the mounting hardware back side in the holes from the inside of the sheath. Place on the clip then mark the amount to be cut off. You need the screw to tight down so just shy of flush. Cut the screws so they are flush with the nut. Threads sticking out will inhibit the function of the sheath. Use blue Loctite to attach mounting hardware and the original screw to the index stud. Now it will be solid, no wiggle and ready for any belt you throw at it.

Must have for those that carry Leatherman Bit Kits
The media could not be loaded. Extremely happy with the quality and well thought out design of this bit kit holster. The frame is solid, sturdy and built to last. The bit kit compartment comfortably fits two of the kits inside and it is easy to quickly remove just one at a time. There is a metal spring that pushes the kits toward the front of the holster and keeps them in place securely, even just one.The bit extender compartment fits the extender perfectly and holds it in place with what looks like a strong rare earth magnet. It makes it easy to quickly pull out and put back in without fear of loosing the extender.Exactly what I was looking for but with far better quality than I expected.

Didn’t come with the ratchet extender
I looked over this product several times to see if it was just the sheath or was it the sheath and the extender is very hard to tell. I give a five stars to the quality of the sheath I gave the two stars to lack of information. I literally order this thinking it came with the ratchet driver, and it did not I thought I was pretty thorough in reading the description, but maybe that’s on me.

Well made but image is deceiving
Well made but image is deceiving it is not the one for the ratchet driver and the extensions feel kind of loose in it.

The perfect Leatherman Accessory DOES Exist!!!
This Leatherman Bit Kit by RAE Gear is worth every penny and then some. I've used it everyday since I received it. The bits and extension are held in tight but easy to get to when you need them. It is also adjustable for whatever width belt you wear. I have tried a few other models of Leatherman bit holders, cases, etc over the years, and this one exceeds them by a huge margin. And it was shipped very quickly as well. I can highly recommend this tool accessory for your Leatherman.
