Turk 182

I loved this movie growing up. I think the story still holds up. It might seem a little slow for this younger generation given the technology used today wouldn't hold up to how the main character communicates his message in the story, but whatever. Also, this movie sticks up for the blue collar worker/workingman.. That used to be a thing. Now it's all about the bling. :) It's too bad it is not yet available on Blu-ray or 4k. Again, good movie.

Father was fire fighter so movie is very close to my heart

It took 25 years for this movie to make it to streaming and the quality is below average, but I'm not going to let that spoil the pleasure I felt while watching it (again). I'll take it and be grateful.Terry Lynch (Robert Urich) is an off-duty NYFD fireman having a few drinks at a bar when a boy comes in yelling fire. He enters the burning building and finds a little girl, but before he can alert the firemen outside they break in the door and blow him and the child through an upper-story window with a fire hose. He is badly injured but is refused benefits because he had been drinking prior to entering the building.This doesn't sit well with his younger brother, Jimmy (Timothy Hutton), who was raised by Terry and is determined to make the city see that Terry matters and deserves the respect and honor of a first responder.This movie is about love and despair and hope and just how far a brother's love goes.

Nicely packed, quickly shipped and plays fine.

One of my favourite movies from the 80's and still great to watch now. If you haven't seen it before - A twentysomething guy's older brother gets hurt while risking his life to save a young child. The resultant injury means he can't work and no compensation is available. The younger brother tries to get someone to notice his older siblings plight and goes all the way to the Mayor of New York. However, the mayor insults the injured man and sets in motion the rest of the movie where the younger brother gets revenge for the insult. Kim Catrall is gorgeous as a just out of school social worker and love interest of the younger brother. By the end of the movie you'll be cheering out loud - TURK! TURK! TURK!

A very good movie. Old but good. Tried to buy it a couple of years ago and it was priced over 125 dollars. Buy now while it’s sooo much cheaper.

Funny, cheesey, small guy beats the system kind of movie. Good ending. Was a fast two hours.

Brought this as wanted to watch the film but all it is is clips with an over commentary. Really disappointed.
