This book managed to single handedly blow out all my notions of what Love is! It wasn’t until reading this book that I realized my misconcepitons of love, is what has caused my heartbreaks in life, and not Love itself. I used to think Love was something to do or feel for somebody, and/or have someone to do or feel for me, only then I would’ve found Love! And I’d be able to live happily ever after! Except I realized it’s been nothing but a chase for love, and not a choice for Love! The Choice for Love is a fantastic book. I have read other books by Barbara de Angelis and they have always inspired and uplifted me and this one is even better! It is packed full of practical advice, guidance and wise observations about how life and the human mind work.It made me feel understood and supported that I was not the only one who feels lost, unsure or confused at times. The book explained so many things about myself and offered techniques and tools to make a real difference, but in a practical way.I have read many personal growth / spiritual books over the years and this takes it all to a new level. I could relate to so much that the author was writing about and had many “aha” moments as she described things that I had felt, then explained why, in a way that I could relate to.I had revelation after revelation as I read the book, because it is put across in a clear and understandable way. It is so authentic and extremely accessible. I am approaching a quarter way through this book. Left to my own devices I'd have read it one one sitting but I bought it to use alongside the free workbook & lessons BdA offered on launch via her website ( download the free chapter to access the offer).I have to say i think it's going to be a really good tool for me. I'm always told I give to much or am too nice but didn't understand how anyone can be too nice etc. This book is helping me understand the importance - and more importantly, teach me how to give myself as much as I give others and treat myself like my own best friend.I suffer from anxiety & depression at times & this book is helping me understand some triggers & deal with it a lot better.I can see that as well as helping me develop the relationship with myself, it will help me to be more open to the giving & receiving of love in all its forms.I'll update after I've finished the course.

This is the 2nd book I have read from Barbara de Angeles, the first being Soul shifts. Reading these books has changed me profoundly and I truly feel so connected to everything and everyone in a way I only thought I was before. Now I really feel it on a deep deep level. This book has opened my heart up and allowed me to give and receive love like I have never been able to before. If everyone read this book and actually did the practices, what a truly beautiful world we would live in. I have read many books like this and listened to many teachers, BDA is without doubt the best out there. She offers such wisdom and not in a wishy washy floaty way. She is down to earth and practical and has so much wisdom and experience. I can really feel that her intention is to share from pure love and that really comes through in this book. Highly recommend this book.
